Bwahahaha. Is that a standard powerband or aftermarket one ?
How broad is the powerband ? Stage 1, 2 or bridgeport ?

Question submitted: What brand of powerband is it and where on the bike is it located? Also do you have a receipt for when it was fitted?
You mentioned it's a two stroke, can this be upgraded to a 4 stroke for more power?
........and now we wait ....:devil2:
Should I feel bad?

Sent the seller a message:
Fitted with a powerband? Does it also include a flux capacitor? What does it do when it reaches 88mph?

So I just received an email from the seller, it goes as follows.
hi. yellow power-band? there is no yellow power band, yellow is the colour of the bike and the power-band is fitted inside the engine not on the outside so you wouldnt know the colour?
it wasn't my wife's no, it is a street bike so by 'small child' i would say no? obviously your not to knowledgeable on bikes yourself so if you have any more questions please ask.
thanks

I have just emailed him back and will await his reply.
You must have mistaken what I meant, I have been riding and working on bikes for a decent amount of time now and am very knowledgeable on bikes.
There are 3 different types of power bands that you can fit into your bike, dependent on whether it is 2 stroke or if you have fitted the 4 stroke upgrade kit.
They are as follow:
Yellow - Mild acceleration from over 5k rev range
Green - Slightly more drawn out torque output and cleaner emissions
Red - Optimum acceleration and torque from 1k to 15k in the rev range
Now there are a few ways of telling which power band you have fitted.
1. You can remove the head and if you can turn the cam chain both clock-wise and anti clock-wise then you have a yellow power band.
2. If you look at your pistons and slowly crank the engine over, they will move up and down. If they also turn clock-wise whilst cranking the engine then you have a green power band.
3. If the pistons turn anti clock-wise then you have a red powerband.
If you are unsure, you can always take it into a mechanic and ask them to check what colour powerband you have fitted. It is worth printing off a copy of this email to show them what you are talking about and it means that they are less likely to charge you out of the ass for it. I myself would pay maybe $50 to get it checked depending on what else needs to be done.
Please let me know how it goes so that we can move ahead accordingly.

Got a reply;
hi, im not to sure on the flux capacitor? but yes it is fitted with a power-band and the bike is in kilometers and not miles but it gives a good kick when it reaches 8000revs in every gear, the kick is enough to chuck someone off the back if your not holding tight.by all means come and have a test ride and see for yourself what you think?
thanks.

He has told me that it's the green powerband, but he's not sure whether it has a Fufu valve or a kerfufle valve.

Mine had the limited ed. Violet band.
Or was it Violent? I always get those 2 mixed up.
