Its a class put together by MCI as a support class so the buckets and streetstock class can run together with some variations to the streetstock 150 rules.

Also gave the Prolite class there own race. Originally the 150SS and buckets were to be a support class running with the Prolites, but due to the large numbers of entries (and well done to the Prolite class for this !!) they split it so Prolites ran on there own and the 150SS/Bucket class ran on there own. Was good to see. :2thumbsup

That's fabulous. Want to see a resurgence in bike racing, that's right where it starts. Take a look at the 600 and litre bike classes in a few years time and see how many of them started in Prolites. Fucken brilliant.

Yeah... One day.... If money permits ;)
It is great to see ProLites intheir own race for the Nats.
Really looking forward to the North Island rounds and battling with bikes that are exactly the same.

Good luck with that one buddy. Best get your credit card out and get on Ebay if you want to have a bike like the others.

Nicely taken out of context.... But put it this way, Tyler Lincon weighs about my age ;)
I feel like 80 Years Old against the young guys at times!

Yeah it looks like a sustainable competitive class. The racing was good to watch. I would be keen to give it a rip.

I think the real seed for the current crop and probably the next few years has been Streetstock 150, then maybe buckets, prolites are only in their second year but look ok

How about look in those classes now for ex Bucketers?, Skatchel, Charlet, Sheriffs, just for starters. Plenty more coming through. Idly looking at Tri-series program at Wangas it was easy to pick out a dozen.

For years young riders have come to the south to ride and be trained. One of the earliest was Sam Smith.
Flicking thru the current Ruapuna national round program I can count a heap in most championship classes.
Some are just over 20 years old, but most are still teenagers
ProTwin / Superlite (4)
125GP (6)
600's (10)
Prolite (5)
Youth development is critical for sure

Now there's a development class that
is a National Championship
able to attract sponsors
Streetstocks is a great class (I've been trying to talk the wife into riding a Streetstock for years but she still refuses to ride a bike dammit), but there's not really any future in it these days. It's pretty much a club level class.
Definitely not saying Streetstocks is dead or shit or anything. I like it and the riders seem to have the most fun of all the classes at race days.

Very close racing at Levels in the weekend. In the last race there was only 1.5 seconds between the top 7 riders and it was like that the whole race
