98 Yamaha XJR 1200

This is a tight, clean example with plenty of grunt that's great for everything from commuting to touring. The only thing it needs is a new owner!!

Bought in October as my primary transport for my OE here in NZ but I've decided to change my plans and won't need a vehicle any longer.

NZ New
*60,000 Ks
REGO 04/12
WOF 04/12
Serviced in December plus-
New tyres (Conti Motions)
Chain & sprockets good
Brake pads & discs all good
Fork seals & dust caps all good
Valve clearances done in October
Givi screen
Givi headlamp shield
Ventura pack rack
Large touring bag
Magnetic tank bag
Original tool kit
Three keys

Bad bits:
- The tank has a couple of small prangs and a ding about the size of a teaspoon at the front.
- Has a harmless ticking noise from the camshaft. It's a common fault with these. Google it.
- I've lost the alternator cover. I'm looking for a replacement but if I haven't sourced one by the time of sale, it will be a snag for the new owner. Functions fine without it.
- One of the mirrors needs replacing as the stem is rusting over but not urgent.
- *I have a carjam report that shows the clocks were changed for new at around 30,000KM by a previous owner. The report is available on inspection. The clock currently shows 29,500KM

Don't hesitate to call from late afternoon to 9pm weekdays or any time on weekends. Can be viewed in Devonport but strictly on a no-cash-no-ride basis.

No swaps. Cash only. Grab a bargain.

Thanks mate... and don't call me Shirley.

I've just relisted the bike on trademe and the reserve is under $5k so the right person will get a bargain...

To whom it may concern; I have offered the bike to my TM watchers for $3,250. Yes, I'm desperate. Yes this is a bargain...
