His bike from the final round last year is up on ebay for sale

Im pretty sure he was factory supported by the end of supercross which means its missing a few things from his "proper" bike, like the hydro clutch and im guessing the works engine
I guess the factory stuff cant be sold?

Still an awesome piece of machine!!

Have a look at what A kit suspension and Pro Circuit engine parts cost, 15k doesn't go far when building a bike like that.

Thats a steal at that, Pro circuit even setup the Showa A kit suspension for you. Carbon hubs, ported and modified race engine.

Last AMA bikes i saw here cost around 10g but no factory parts just pro circuit valved suspension pipe and pro series wheels.

Top level AMA bikes are US$100k plus, so this is a relative bargain... although the price will also reflect the amount of parts made from unobtainium (i.e. the parts that you can't just rock into your local Honda dealer and buy).

That is one ugly motorcycle.... but I agree, way more tempting and interesting.

i always have loved the look of the KX's with the number plates on the back guard, and that factory bike would go very good,

Chads bike for sale would be able to be built for prob around what it is going for, the not for public stuff has been taken off, but it would be an awesome collectors piece,

Would agree with Scott those early Works bikes look awesome especially the Kawas & Hondas.
Read an article on Thorpes 81 SR500 { works model } many years ago they actually built engines from 390-500cc to run with so they could get the optimum power & torque to suit his style.
THE Yamaha YZM500 crosser was the most exotic with its alloy frame in 1987/8.

Yeah that era was great, as it was no holds barred!
