A pointless rant...
I don't know how much more of this 'summer' I can take. I am one of those people who just survive through winter by thinking of the coming summer. Now we get no summer. I am so over it. Time to pack up ship and move to a warmer climate. NZ may be good in many ways...but I really need a good long, dry, hot summer.

What's worse, is they teased us with the best Xmas since 1974.
3 or so glorious days.
Since then...
(And yes, I'm aboard the whaaaambulance.)

I just picked up my brand spanking new GSX1250FA and it is Chucking it down and blowing a gail...
At least my first ride was to understand her handling in high winds and rain. A tad scary with tryes that are not yet scrubbed in and new brakes not bedded in.
O well two more weeks off so hopefully it will clear up.

30 degree's in Napier yesterday, we are welcoming the wind today, even with 70kph winds you can feel the 24 degrees, cooking down here. If you are in Jafa-land... there-in lies your problem

We have sunshine today for the first time in nearly a fortnight, back when we had the last day of blue skies. Shite for business, good for farmers & keeps the dust down on my new favourite roads. Wettest summer i have seen up here. Still, I'm moaning in a t-shirt, that would not happen in Scotland, brrrrrrrryefukarrr.

You are getting closer
I have wind burn on my face today
Warm as toast, the grass is greener than I have seen it at this time of the year, ceiling fans FTW, we get good sleep. We are apparently part of the shitty city now, but as I have worked right through have not noticed the crappy weather too much

That would assume I have one to ride at the moment...
I'm always happy to ride in the rain, it's no biggie to me. It's the rest of outdoor life that is dead. I am an outdoors person who loves the sun.

I have ridden everyday since Xmas, and everyday it has rained, and I don't have wet weather gear. Auckland weather is shit, just suck it up and ride. Make sure you have decent tyres. The way I see it, is that if I waited for a decent day, then I would never ride!
Get a bike with no chrome and then you don't even have to clean it!
