Hi everyone. I am fairly new in riding. I just bought a second hand 2009 Ninja ex250. The problem that I am having at the moment are:
1. Turn signals not blinking
2. Rear left signal not working
It has got some small aftermarket turn signals (just for added information).
So far, these are the steps that I have done to no avail.
1. Changed relay
2. Checked fuse
Can anyone shed a light on this one?
Thanks and God bless!

Check all the bulbs, clean all the contacts.
Then, hope it's a contact/bulb problem and not in the loom/switch block.
Good luck

When it come to electrics it helps to know what exactly is working and what exactly isn't.
Is it just the left rear that isn't working or is it the two front indicators as well?

Are the left side indicators working properly? Usually one indicator coming on solid and the other not going at all is a blown bulb. The relays are speced at a certain current so that this happens and you have some idea that something is wrong. This is the reason aftermarket LED indicators usually either flash insanely fast or not at all on bikes designed with standard bulbs in mind.

Thank you very much for your response guys.
So far I've tried getting another relay but still no resolution.
The rear left indicator does not work at all. All the rest stays on and does not blink. What I noticed a while ago while is that when I rev it high on idle, the indicators starts blinking.... Any advice?
God bless!
Thanks!

Earthing problem or a short, you have very high resistance in the circuit.
Put the left rear bulb in the right rear and see if the problem changes, if so, replace the bulb.
Or, if you remove the left rear bulb and try the indicators, and they flash fast, replace the left rear bulb

Possibly the flasher unit is buggered. Replace the indicator bulb that doesn't work first (most service stations should have one you need ... take the blown one in with you)
A faulty earth will cause the non flashing ... A single wire to the light means the indicators are earthed AT each light. Two wires to the light means one is an earth and is earthed through the loom.

They are 2 wire.
OP..... Check the contact in the plug for the rear indacators. They should be under your rear seat (Well, mine are).

A probable cause for one light not working ... ??? The plug not properly connected ... ???

Yeah, but it doesn't explain the flashing when revved....
But, otherwise yes, that is exactly why mine didn't work last time I put the bike back together.

I think the flasher unit might be the problem ... Unless too high a wattage bulbs are fitted ... or wires with too high a resistance (too thick) used to replace originals ... ???

Why would you want to indicate?
Nobody else does.......

The flasher will not flash if a bulb is blown or missing. Its part of the design, intended to let you know you have a blown bulb.
Change the bulb first.
