Hey mate my friend just brought a GSX250 today and Ive convinced him that his 1$ trademe helmet from the 1970's isnt going to save his life if he falls off..
Are you in welly? Would be great for him,
If not I'd be happy to pay for postage and include a picture off him in this ridculous helmet for comedic value

I've got a 2005 Caberg V2 helmet I no longer use. Italian with built in sun visor. Good condition, blue, size M. Low mileage, regular services and only used by an old woman to get to church.
Free to whoever can be bothered collecting it. I'm not mucking around posting anything. Send me a PM if interested. As you can see it didn't fit my 9 y.o.

I have a few items that are taking up space. 1x HJC cl14 helmet, M,
1x Nitro NC11 helmet L. I have worn both of these up to recently, Good condition, never been in an accident, I would trust my head in either without any worries.
1x Quilted Nylon /PVC jacket. Size, a 'large' L, but fits me ok. I'm 112 chest and slightly bigger around the middle. No built in protection but is still the most rain/wind proof jacket I've ever worn.
A Spidi H2O out two piece riding suit. Size XL. No rips, no thermal lining. I have replaced the elbow armour, the shoulder armour has been taken out and I haven't worked out how to hold the replacement armour in place. Has the foam back pad. The trousers are too long for me, the jacket does up ( just). This was a top suit when new.
If someone is on the bones of their arse, I dont mind handing any of this on, just dont want some smartarse turning around and sticking the items on Tdme.

Well, I got rid of a helmet, over jacket and 2 pr gloves tonight. It's quite hard handing over gear that has been part of my motorcycling life for so long, but it's not being used, the chap who took it has nothing, so it's a start for him.
I'd like to clear some more room so anyone wants an old, but good Spidi H20 out XL, 2 piece jacket and pants? Would suit someone about 180t tall, 90kg's. The shoulder armour has been removed but I have replacement pads which would take a bit of ingenuity to fit. Still have a Nitro L helmet as well.

Great to hear that Brayden.
I really enjoyed meeting you both and it reminded me of how much fun I had when I first got into motorbikes!
1st rule of riding- have fun
2nd rule- stay alive so you can have more fun
I think there is a 3rd rule, something about not getting caught doing rule 1
Hope I see you on the road sometime.

I'm 44 / 104cmround the waist and they are a loose fit on me. so unless you've got a skinny girlfriend to shove down the front, to take up the slack??? They are 78cm inside leg, 110 waistline to outside leg, Good pants tho' have the leather patch in the arse.
Just checked, they are 3XL pants.

I also have a FFM PRO II a size small. This is as brand new. Was worn once then added to a ladys riding outfit, we bought for my wife. I'm going to ask $40 for this on trd me. It really is too good to just give away.
Also have a matt black open face helmet size small. This was part of a bike purchase. Would take a clip on visor. This, I'll give away. Dont think this helmet has ever been worn.
Or would swap both helmets for a good open face helmet 58-59 cm with a visor.
Still have a pair of older unmarked gloves size m-L, come with a pullout over mitt that tucks away into the cuff. A Dryrider nylon rain jacket, XL, A Spidi XL cordura jacket, no shoulder pads. but good nick otherwise. All free.
Its amazing, I cant even give this stuff away.

Any shorter ladies out there want some new pants? I have some rev-it ones, small and short length that are more like a 10-12. Hence they don't fit me, cos I'm midgetty. Length is fine on me, but too big all round.
If anyone wanted to swap for some much smaller pants, I'd be quite happy. Otherwise I'd like what I paid for the pants ($45 off trademe, virtually brand new)

I did however fall in love with a Shoei XR1100 today. A 'bit' outta my budget though. And I don't get special 'cos I'm awesome' pricing there. I have my favourite place to get stuff from, and thats unlikely to change in a hurry.
I did manage to flick the rev-it pants that were far too big for what i paid, so I'm happy with that. That money can go towards funding some cupcakes or something.

Over the last week, I have sold four pairs of motorbike gloves, and a pair of bike boots on Trade me.
Had a garage sale on Saturday and sold another pair of gloves, and a new open faced helmet.
Gave up trying to give them away.
I'm down to a Spidi jacket ( minus shoulder pads, old but no holes or rips ) , A like new Dry Rider nylon over jacket. Will list them tomorrow, $20.00 and $10.00 respectively.
I bet I sell them a lot quicker than trying to give them away.
Give something away free, and there must be something wrong with it, put $20 on it and it's a bargain??? A shame, but I guess thats human nature.

I have given away quite a bit of unused gear to people who were starting out, via this thread. Still have bits and pieces. If it clears out my space, I have no problems with a new rider asking if I have a particular item.
Lozza, I have a larger womens Technic jacket and pants, but as they are like new, they are too good to give them away.
I still have a size L HJC open faced helmet, if anyone wants a spare. I would have no hesitation about putting my head in it and riding.

Yes I do. The original shoulder pads were removed as the foam padding glued to the plastic pads had gone brittle. I have replacement pads but cant figure out how to fit them . A local leather shop said they could sew padding in place . Has not got the inner lining. Otherwise its a good jacket. No holes, all metal zips work.

I am most definately on the bones of my ass, call or text me on 021929206 thanks

Need a helmet? Should have one spare soon. How big is your noggin? I have some mx gloves too that I shouldn't need soon too. They're pretty small though so not sure if they're an option. But nothing is better for road riding than proper leather gloves, so make them a priority. But mx gloves are marginally better than no gloves

Hey guys just thought I would throw it out there. Im trying to get my hands on a pear of leather pants with Knee sliders as I am really keen to start learning new techniques and don't feel to comfortable hanging of my bike in my dragon jeans. Im probably about a size 36 and I am about 6'2". So if anyone has anything laying around let me know. Id really appreciate it. Im currently in the Dunedin area but have no problem paying for shipping or something like that. Cheers

I got these from awa (laxed out riders member) and I have got two since. Giving these away, I will leave outside my place for you to pick them up. Must take both of them.
One should be road legal and is size L, Nitro. Has Metzeler on it - probably a sticker.
The other is a play helmet that my son uses and wont be road legal as it is old.

Looking for a jacket and gloves for a young fella that started at work today, who's got no gear other than a helmet.
No idea of sizes, but I'd say medium.

Does anybody want some Draggin jeans size 38 ?
I have some here in good condition, I've never been for a slide in them to test them, and hopefully I can stay off the pies long enough to not fit them again.

Just to give those that are needy a heads up, the old man has been meaning to get rid of his old textile pants and jacket for a while. I just haven't gotten my ass into gear to deal with them. May be some gloves as well but unsure.
The pants are pretty bloody roomy, 2XL, with padded knees.
The jacket is pretty much been worn only a handful of times and is in mint condition apart from a tear in the liner/extra rain protection flap due to the zip. He's just stuck some black tape on this though. Full armour in this. XXL with '56' on the size tag as well
The pants are a freebie, the jacket I think he wants something pathetic like $40 due to the condition. I'll have to check if he has any gloves around.
Good wet weather gear though. I reckon if you were a large you could through the pants over normal pants and wear a couple of layers extra with the jacket.

hey all,
moving house and clearing out some old gear.
i've got a zip together cordura pants n jacket by 'spool' that i've had for a number of years, (got them second hand) but havent been using.
the jacket is XXL, and the pants are L - which seems a bit odd, but it does mean you can easily fit a hoodie or other under the jacket on really cold days.
im 5'11 and approx 85kg and the pants are a good snug fit on me. the linings have a tear in the groin - yes, it was like that when i got it - no, i didnt want to know either - so in solid rain the first thing to get wet are your balls / assorted lady parts.
i've also got a pair of 'nerve' (read cheapshit) cordura pants with suspender over your shoulder things. the fly zipper is broken on these, but still wearable due to the suspenders. i got these secondhand too i swear
yeah i know, i guess bikes turn people on or something?
anyway, if anyone wants it then feel free to come past and try on / take away.
im stu and we are living in glenfield currently. my number is 021 397 991.
im gonna bin it if no-one takes it before we move (sat 3rd)

It's spring so I've decided to have a bit of a clean out. Got a few things that have been sitting in the wardrobe for ages or are no longer required, be happy to see them go free to a good home.
- Shoei Raid II helmet XL (61-62cm). Around 5 years old now, stopped using it a couple of years ago because I found it too hot for commuting. Covered in dubious custom graphics made from reflective tape by your's truly, could be removed if you were prepared to take the time and effort (I'm not). Accepted wisdom would be it's at the end of it's useful life, so use at your own risk.
- Leather jacket "Natural Wear" (made in Christchurch) size 40. Got to be more than 20 years old, not worn for the last 10 or so. No space for hard armour but does have padding in the shoulders/elbows/kidneys area. Black surface finish has worn off in quite a few placed. All zips are good, one stud is missing at the waist due to chest slipping a bit over the years (apologies Obelix) putting extra strain on this area which is why I don't use it anymore - also it's really old, so can't guarantee how well it would hold together in an accident. You be the judge.
- rev'it 'zip' cordura overpants size XL, about 4 years old now. One of the knee armour pockets expertly repaired with duct tape. Cinch at the waist repaired using my dubious sewing skills (see chest slipping comment above) but has held together for a while now. These are a baggy fit and have zips to the knees so you can get them over boots. Have washed these a few times and reproofed them but they're only really shower proof now.
- No-brand "universal" hand guards. These may or may not fit your bike, they didn't fit mine. Fake carbon fibre plastic finish and should keep your hands warm at the same time. From the look of the mounts these are for weather protection only.
So let me know if anyone's interested, I'm in Balmoral in Auckland.

Hey guys,
20 and temporarily penniless thanks to a knee injury keeping me unable to run, a poor choice of uni subject to boot. 4 years after my first bike exploded I am looking at getting another cheap bike again. Since then I've lost around 30KG's and my jacket and pants are virtually unwearable at an XL. If anyone has anything in a medium lying around it would be greatly appreciated, helmet seems to be in pretty poor condition too. Cheers!

Thanks mate, but I appear to be around a medium, or 56-58 for a helmet.
I guess It was a little overambitious to think that I would oneday be tall enough for XL gear, sadly 4 years later and I am still a manlet at 5"8. Just won a Shift textile jacket for a dollar on trademe however, pretty happy with that.

Hi everyone.
I have a friend who has just got back into riding road bikes and doesnt have gear. He currently uses a very old helmet, motocross gloves and a wind breaker.
I would hate for him to get hurt, especially if some gear could have helped.
So if anyone has some old gear for free i could pass on to him i would be very appreciative.
I think he fits a medium helmet, is around 6'2" and around 36" waist.
I would be willing to pay shipping to Chch too, thanks.

Ladies 1-tonne jacket, textile, size 6 (large 6, closer to 8)
barely worn and supposedly waterproof! I don't recall ever testing the waterproofness, but I think its pretty good)
In very good condition, because I havent actually worn it since getting my triumph jacket last year.
Alpinestars boots (size39)
very average to poor condition, but good for someone just starting out or someone who wants spare boots for buckets etc.
the velcro on the closure has definitly seen better days and would need a bit of tape to keep securely closed.
Both are Island Bay, Wellington and I'd prefer them to be picked up. (its too much like hard work to deliver without a car)

Bright yellow front and back, black shoulders and arms. It's a bit grubby, but still waterproof. Acerbis brand and has reflective logo and strip on the back. Fully mesh lined. Wear this over your leathers on rainy days and keep the top half of your body dry. I bought it from Colemans Suzuki about a year and a bit ago as part of a suit, the trousers wore out far too quickly, but the jacket seems much better. First to PM will have it. Pick up in Auckland.

I may have one you can keep. It's not in the best condition (I attempted to plasti-dip it matte black). I definitely wouldn't use it for anything more than a few test rides. Not sure of the size but it is an HJC helmet. My new helmet is a large and compared to my new one, the HJC feels a little big.

Dri Rider Factor pants = Size XYL (what ever that means  )A bit grubby but still functioning perfectly. with thermal liner.

Teknic 2 piece leather suit, scarred from buckets but perfectly suited to more bucketing. Would suit someone 6'2" ish and you can be pretty fat and still fit.
Textile jacket probably call it 3XL
Leather jacket XXXL and 40" matching pants. Basically mint condition
Textile jacket, maybe XXL
Shoei Raid helmet, XL never crashed could do with a wash. Has tinted and clear visors

Tag says XXXL (shit, or maybe it was XXL) however it is more like a L, max, as I am usually a medium and it is not like parachute on me like an XXXL should be (although I bought it as a 'one size fits all' anyway).
Virtually brand new (worn once for a quick blat around the hood).
Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Still have this.

Free to good home
Leather pants, size 36 short leg. The liner is ripped and they need to be sewn up at the back where a zip was removed. Never crashed.
Mugello pants, XL short leg. Has damage to the knee that should be able to be sewn up. had a slide in them. They say they are waterproof but they lied. But could get somebody started.
