Hi people,
I was just wondering?, what type of bike the general population of KB rode or preferred. Cruiser, Tourer or a sport bike?
and what was the most popular here at KB?
Cheers,
Monk.

was once a sports bike, I suppose people would call it a sport tourer now apart from the fact that I've gone mad and made it an uncomfortable bitch.
In short, a silly sport bike.

I like them all but I'm most at home on a sport/tourer. In a utopic world I'd have one of everything

Mine is an adventure-y / tourer-y / commuter-y / (monstrosit-y?) sort-of bike...otherwise known as a BMW f650cs. Which is pretty much an ordinary f650 in drag. Can't sell them (except to women), according to the BMW sales guy where I get it serviced (not where I bought it, obviously).
I don't care, I like it! Reminds me of the sort of bike Brains (from Thunderbirds) would have designed. Or an (original) iMac. It's nerrrdy.

I tried to add poll after learning how, but the option was not available in the edit screen and the advanced editing screen. :(

Personally, I lie the sporties - even though the bikes are way better than I am. I like that forward seat and I just lurve the available power and handling.
Having said that, I've ridden many different styles and enjoyed them all at the time.

You don't need a sports bike to do that.
Because I can't afford a shed full of bikes, well not nice ones anyway, I tend to go for versatility.
Would consider a half faired middleweight for the next bike but the options are limited. Kawasaki & BMW have something that might suit but would involve a major drop in HP. As does the new Honda NC700 series, plus the appropriate model in that range has a highish seat...
'S all OK though, got a while to think about it. (God willing :-)

Why don't you just keep the Striple?

I have a naked bike and a cruiser at the moment... Can't decide which one I like more. Both are so fun in their own ways.

No you don't, my old bus will do 0-100 in three seconds then, theoretically, tour the world two up with camping gear at speed, in comfort, commute and raise an eyebrow or two at a track day. Sport tourers, the closest thing to a garage full of bikes without having a garage full of bikes.
PS. I don't consider gravel roads when choosing a bike cause I'm a pom and don't like them, if I did an adventure tourer would be my steed

Cause I'm 68, by the time I'm likely to be changing bikes I'll be looking up the barrel of 70. Something lighter with a lower seat height might be nice, and I may not really need 128 ponies.
Not old enough for a Harley  but could be ready to consider a Bonnie?

Depending on my Hardly Ferguson's mood... and the weather... and where I am riding to... I ride a Sportster, or; a BMW F650 dual purpose bike (dual purpose, it's reliable and the electrics work in the wet).
Love both!!!!!
