Hey there,
My current forks on my 1996 Bandit have very small divots/tiny holes just above the fork seals so every bump/compression slowly lets out some oil...
Good ol George from Motocycle doctors was genuinely honest and told me not to bother getting my forks resealed at the time as they would just be bad again in no time. so he recommended me either getting them re-chromed $400+ or to find some 2nd hand decent ones for cheaper, so trying to find some cheaper ones not being used but hopefully someone out there.
Found two on Trademe (just over $300-) but thought id see here as well.
cheers fellas

Try Dare (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/member.php/8962-Dare). I think he is parting out his GSF250.

For now try putting some araldite super strength in the depressions/holes and sanding it smooth.

Make sure you read the whole thread and realise that it is only a temporary fix (a good one, but temporary none the less). To fix the problem properly you still need to replace or re-crome the fork.

mmm true, WOF is coming up and im pretty sure its lost too much oil now and can feel bumps in the road way to easily and hard.
hit a little hole on the hway just before the auckland harbour bridge and felt like i almost lost it :shit:
prob could patch it before a WOF, but yea still prolonging the inevitable.
good to know but I'm just gonna sell the bike as is now anyways, maybe pass on the info to the new owner.
thanks though
