He has purchased the building where he is now, and it is his intention to extend the building somewhat. He told me the other week that he was 'finalising the the last details to seal the deal and become an official dealer for a new brand' - though he didnt say what brand. Id guess Hyosung - they were the Hyosung dealer once before.

Yes he is open (or he has been down there Ive been in a couple times in the last couple months).

It looks like he and his wife are running the ship, and at present, he does not have a qualified mechanic on staff. There are a lot of rumours and shit going around about Dennis and SPV, but keep in mind they are just that, rumours.

What are you looking at in there? I think he had a 650 ninja in there, but i doubt its your cup of tea.

Are they?

Ok not for me then.

tigertim20

yes. the IL4 ninjas around that capacity come in a 600cc, and a 636cc. The 650 is a twin and is more commuter/small touring orientated kind of thing.

I thought you were fliping a coin over the GSXR and the CBR, what happened with that?

Dont know why I didnt think of that! - maybe, I guess time will tell. I think hyosung is probably a bit more realistic - they have been a hyo dealer before (they lost that to Advanced, which for whatever reason stopped way back before it became motoxtreme) so it would kinda make sense to get back what they had.
I did hear through a friend too, that he hasnt actually been an official kwak dealer for quite a while now either, but I dont know if that is true or not

Also advance is still going, they started out being a dealer only yard, then moved to public and now back to dealer only yard...im gonna see if they will sell to me through work. Tech im still a dealer.

its more complicated than that. advanced began as dealer only bike importers. expanded into some parts etc. expanded again to supply the public, then expanded into some repairs. His health became a factor, sold part of it which became motoextreme, though the rear of the building consists of stock belonging to advanced etc etc.

Id be surprised if he is willing to faff about with a single sale to a sole client, there are already plenty of good bikes at good prices on the market.

if you have cash, just make a decision, there'll always be other bikes you like/want as well, but you cant own them all

Id do it through work, We sell Bikes, Cars, Boats and Caravans if there is a dollar in them!

what im saying is that if you are not already an existing customer, regularly being supplied by him, you have fuckall chance of him wanting to waste his time for a single sale.
Single sales are a dealers money maker, he effectively sells bulk.

there plenty on the open market as it is anyway

Just buy this (http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/sports/auction-443759231.htm). It's more or less what you want, looks pretty tidy, is local and is cheap enough that you could easily flick it off again if you change your mind.

good find ender,
those are a great bike, I took my F2 up to over 140,000km, no major work ever done on it, and the current owner still has it and still rides it and has had no issues on it since he got it 2 years ago or so.

and thats fuckin cheap for a tidy looking bike.
