Haaa I did it,

Finally got my restricted. Got tested by this Italian bloke called Armando - very good tester. Rides a VFR750 in his free time.

Woohooo..... I know I couldn't do it in exactly six months.. but hey I'm happy with six months and 3 days

Oh yeah... it's also my 10,000 K riding anniversary :Punk:

20 mins and it was all over, two points of improvement

- Speeding (but it was a downhill and I did keep it under 55)
- Too close to the centerline on one right-hand corner....(my single most obvious problem:no: - those of you who ride with me know my right hand lines are really :puke: )

But hey...... at the end I passed. The tester said my riding was pretty good..... if I'd managed to keep to the left, I may have passed a full license test, he said...

Big thanks to Crashe for following me on the test - THANKS GIRL :2thumbsup

I think the instructor Armando is gonna join KB now that we told him about it..:niceone:

Since I've got a clean license I'm hoping to be able to apply for a full through the CBTA system in 9 months, as that's the soonest under 25's can get their full lets see what happens.....

Yeah he did well... CONGRATULATIONS.

Justsomeguy only missed the instructor's indicator to turn right once...
There was the instructor and me sitting there waiting and waiting for JSG to go up the road and go around the roundabout and come on back

Mind you going down that hill, was fun... I wanted to ride 'no hands' hehehe but thought better not... but the speed was picking up... and I was sending thoughts to him... "slow down slow down" and he did.

There was two STOP signs... and I am pleased to announce that JSG put both feet down on the ground and waited and checked both ways before taking off. Well done.

Mind you I had warned him about his riding right on the white lane earlier.
And just before he went to gear up I said "Stay in the middle of the lane"
For once he listened....  except at the one place.

So well done mate....

No more Scenic Drive for the lad for a whole month....
The lad has to find another road to ride weekly

I think so - something about demerit points..... though they deal with applications on an individual basis so you're better talking directly with the CBTA people.

Quake in fear at the prospect of 100km/hr! Your breath will be swept from your lungs, your eyeballs flattened, and your tummy shall tremble in anticipation each time you approach the bi-wheeled, gyroscopically stabilised, maniac motivator.

Well done.

Thanks all.......

Uh, I've hardly done any city/urban riding, so Crashe reckons I need to do this riding instead of my usual $1.50 country blasts...... and I agree she's right..... gotta slow down and get the basics right.....

so if you've been given a ticket for speeding without a license (no demerits) can you still do it?
