The fuel pump on my 88 cbr250r mc19 has died and I am needing to replace it.

Would something like this be suitable? Does anyone know the flow rate and pressure of this unit:http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/parts-for-sale/electrics/auction-446453565.htm

Or am i better off getting something like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/parts-for-sale/performance/auction-445422838.htm

Not too keen on getting an new OEM honda one as they will charge an arm and a leg.

According to the wisdom of the internet i need something that flows around 1.8lt/min and between 1-4psi.

Does this sound about right?

Thanks in advance.

I have done many of these in my job and I replace them with a mikuni vacuum pulse fuel pump. They are cheaper then the electric Honda pump and have the same fuel flow and pressure. Part number is df44-221 just connect the vacume line to one of the carb ajustment vacume points.

I used to have a MC19 and had exactly the same problem as you! You need a fuel pump which has the inlet and outlet on the same side. The one I used was a brand new pump designed for an original Mini as that has the inlet and outlet on the same side of the pump and is a similar size to the original MC19 fuel pump. It worked perfectly.
