Sold with heaps of extras! Yamaha Scorpio 4-stroke single-cylinder 225cc road bike in excellent condition, runs very well & starts easily. Great first bike: Light, shiny and fun! Easy to handle, zippy, nimble & agile w/ smooth power delivery - No hiccups, no lags. And it's comfortable & very economical.

Beat the traffic, beat petrol price rises & have a blast! Heaps of positive reviews on this bike, parts are cheap & easy to find. Mechanics respect it: You won't regret buying it! You can see photos at the Trade Me listing (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=449652963).

Rego: NEW July 2012 (due Feb and will renew for 6 months)
WOF: April 2012
Wheels: NEW tyres. FREE like-NEW black alloy rims + original stainless steel rims [if you want them].
Engine oil: Near-NEW [changed 600kms ago].
Front suspension: Upgraded w/ 15 wt oil for a firmer response.
Grips: FREE NEW "Grip puppy" sleeves to make the grips more comfortable to grip and control. Also keeps grips warm, almost like heated grips; good for winter.
Chain: Excellent. Lubed regularly.
Ventura Sports rack/brackets: Very good condition sports rack & brackets FREE. Comes w/ NEW Givi-type box shown FREE.
Helmet: FREE helmet, size L or M!
Spare seat: There is a like-NEW spare seat I got off a wreckers (was to be a upholstery project) to be included.
Seat cover: FREE good condition Yamaha seat cover
Spare gear shift pedal: A spare very good condition gear shift pedal was purchased off a wreckers (same time as the seat) which has the rear pedal removed. This will suit someone who finds the factory gear shift pedal [with front and rear pedals] annoying.
Centre stand: Very useful for oil changes and other maintenance activities.

A great learner's bike, very gentle & forgiving on new riders. Strong, stable, reliable & economical, you can get about 360-380km per 12l tank full of petrol. Starts easily every time. Cheap on insurance too as it's not on the accident-prone list of bikes. Yet it has good grunt for the city or motorway - cruises at 120kph easily even w/ my 110kgs weight.

Seat height is 770mm, good for shorter riders to reach the ground, while the leg room takes tall riders easily (I'm 185cm tall and its very comfortable for me). Ergonomic sitting posture - mid-way between cruiser and sports, i.e. touring/road bike-style, so it's gentle on your back & wrists, plus provides excellent visibility.

NOTE: The speedo/odometer was changed by previous owner after a bin. Now reads 4,300 kms but had done 13,000 kms previously, so total is about 17300 kms. Still very low for this strong workhorse.

Always well-cared for, always garaged. Had a recent service worth $600 w/ thumbs up from mechanic. Inspections welcomed. PM, email (mailto:tigadee@yahoo.com?subject=Yamaha Scorpio on KiwiBiker) or text me (mob 021 0275 1858). I am willing to let KBers have a price lower than the TM price. Selling because changing to a cruiser so I can stretch my legs, and boss says one bike or the other must go.
