I don't know when I started nodding at people, I think I just kinda picked it up after noticing a lot of nods at me.

I nod to or salute anyone on a bike and ocassionally a scooter if the rider is actually wearing safety gear (may have been a loaner while his poor real bike was being fixed?). And irregardless of whether I'm on the sports bike or the cruiser too...

I wave to bikers when I'm in someone's car... that's what happens when you don't own a car... seeing a bike and waving is automatic :laugh:

When I'm condemned to a scooter as a loan bike I enjoy waving at every biker (usually with 2 hands as well)... very few wave back :weep:

On a trip if I wave the arthritis tends to remind me that I shouldn't have done that. So I'm thinking of adopting that low American style wave.
