I've got a nice straight 1972 Honda CF50 Chaly that smokes a bit and needs a few more horses

I commute 45 km's a day in it to work. It does 20 up the hills and 50 on the flat.

I want to keep it fairly original so I wont be putting a lifan 125 in it.
But what can I do to increase the power a bit and stop the smoking? - will a Chinese GY6 cyclinder and head fit? these are cheap and all over the net. Or do I get a new piston and rings from honda?

Thanks
Brett

Chinese clones have a narrower head stud pattern and the studs go through the barrel too

A chinese piston may fit but they are not all the same shape on the top eg the dome
