Sorry if this has been asked before, so be gentle on me.

When searching through Motorcycles for sale section, is it possible to filter out private sellers so only "Dealers" listings are displayed? For the life of me i can't see the option to do so. Same would be for in reverse, only to see private (non "Dealer") listings.....

:confused::mellow:

For cars you can click advanced search. Can't for motorbikes it seems.

A semi-workaround is to use the keywords textbox to search for all entries that have the word dealer. You can search for multiple keywords, so you could enter "Dealer GSXR" for example.

another problem I've noticed with tradme when searching for a specific model is the way a space in the search can bring up a different batch of results.
e.g.
gs1200ss
gs 1200 ss
gs1200 ss etc, can return totally different results

If they tried to store the data like
Make
Model
CC
(easier to search in theory)

You would get
Suzuki
GS
1200

Suzuki
GS1200SS
1156

and all sorts of other shit. If people were smart when listing they would list every possible combination of what the bike could be called in the auction. But that takes time and people are lazy!

they could include an option for incomplete search terms though, like by adding an * to the end. some torrent sites do it that way
