Of course a Trinity kit taken out to 500 or so cc will net 120hp in race format

Some might see that as excessive, especially if you put that kit on the CRF and I'll concede that traction might be an issue... but I'd love to have a go... just once...

Now its been done, would it be that hard to do?
There's that 08 crf rolling chassis on trademe for $1500 and all you need is the engine and some to make the pipes and modify the chassis , fit a larger radiator etc.
Could be an ideal motard/beach/grass track racer, you may need to upgrade the brakes first and lengthen the swingarm a tad.

Well make me a silly offer for my Trinity 496. And then add a zero.
Seen one in CMM mag as a hill climber.

Meh boring... ;)
Nah they would be cool but there's plenty of road bikes making that sort of power. However with the big Trinity kit, the CRF would be making about 3 times the power of the original engine... much more nutty.

so $150, add a zero: youd take $1500? :)

extra zero & it'd be almost what its cost so far. Rego went on hold last week. No time to fettle atm with race & dirt bikes to ride, rebuild & tune.

I think the kit was about 5k to land but then gst added & then I had to bore & trench the cases, although the + 4mm you don't have to trench. Not the end of the world hard job though.
Obviously nothing else will match up & you'll have to make pipes. Of course you could open the chequebook further & they'll send all that.
