Hi.
My Dad is visiting NZ and we've found him a bike but are trying to sort out 1 month's insurance for it.
Does anyone have any ideas? We've tried Protecta and the AA and both will only do a full year.
Cheers,
Dan.

He'll need Travel Insurance for that ...

Problem is that the travel insurance seems to be problematic due to buying a bike rather than renting one...
They seem to assume that you'll get the rental agency's insurance...

Turns out classic cover will do a year policy and then do a refund of unused months...

All insurance companies should do this. Just don't tell them you only need a months cover.
EDIT: Apparently not all companies like this. Probably pay to check first.

I got burned doing that once, charged me a fee equivalent to 3 months insurance to cancel it
