So gutted for 22. He was going so well but now he's out.
It's RV's to lose now, might get boring.

Reed suffered a horrific crash while challenging for the race lead on Lap 7 and was unable to finish the race.
Initial scans have revealed the Australian has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, broken his tibia and fibula, sustained two broken ribs and has a broken T6 vertebrae.
At this point in time doctors are waiting for the swelling on his knee to subside before they conduct surgery.
“To say I am hurting right now would be a major understatement,” Reed said. “I am just trying to figure out what hurts more, the injuries or the fact that I am going to be out for a while with knee surgery.
“This is bitterly disappointing, I felt like I had everything in my corner this time. I’ve never felt more comfortable, from the bike and team to my riding.
“I was genuinely in a position to fight for race wins week in week out and expected to be going to Las Vegas for a shot at the title.
“To my sponsors and fans thank-you for your messages of support, they mean a lot. This is a difficult time,” Reed added.
The TwoTwo Motorsports team and sponsors will regroup over the next week and formulate a plan to move forward.
Reed is aiming to return for the outdoor season but that goal will be re-evaluated by doctors post surgery.

Bugger... been steadfastly in the "I don't like Chad Reed' camp for a while, but have started warming to him after the big balls move to start his own team and the success he got in his first season.
I guess this is where the risk of being a single rider team kicks in.

Watched the race last night. Feel so bad for Chad. Im the same as alot of others, didnt really groove to him but last season and this season I really started to admire his drive and commitment. The crash was nowhere near as dramatic as Melville but certainly did more damage. He had been challenging Vilapotto hard for the last 2 weeks. The way he fell he was lucky he didnt do more damage to his neck. Hopefully hes back up and going for the outdoors. Certainly Villapottos to loose now.:weep:

yeah watched Sunday night wasn't a good fall but would have been a bloody good race had it not happened the where really going for it don't think there is going to be much more left in this years JS is just up to the usual and having plenty of cock ups don't really think he will be much completion wouldn't be surprised if he calls it if he isn't in the top 3 at years end.

im an RV fan though and though but i feel for CR22, he has taken the racing there, and the series has lost a bit of intensity now,
Knees normally take a while to heal so the natioanls may be out as well, wonder if he will put another down under honda rider in for the outdoors after his contract is done is Aussie,

i am pretty sure they have a mutual respect but are not good friends, it will depend if chad needs his bike out to keep sponsors, seems like a good fit, but ben would only be able to do half the series after aussie,

1st round is 1st april i am pretty sure, no TV coverage here that i know of, www.fullnoise.com.au or www.motoonline.com.au are good places to keep up with the aussie scene,
will be a good season, Bt seems to be in top mental and phyical conditions, and Marmont has not won 4 in a row by being lazy or slow, should be a good season, if Coops and Josh can get in there two, with the two British Riders,

seems like it will not happen tho,
Chad Reed @CRtwotwo
FYI at this time I have zero interest in putting someone on my bike. Benefit to cost ratio doesn't even come close to making sense... #sorry
although like most things, if the right person comes up,
Chad Reed @CRtwotwo
“@RickyCarmichael: bummer.. Guess I can stop training and practicing then..@CRtwotwo ”I could make an exception...
