Hi. I am looking at buying a new Vulcan 900. I sold my last one as milage getting up a bit.
I have heard one can get "factory runout" - bikes still brand new but older models.
In buying one of these is there something to be wary of ?
I visualize the bike standing on showroom floor for a couple of years and wonder if that is detrimental to the bike ?
I'd appreciate any thoughts anyone has on this matter.
Thanks, Lea.

All standard checks you'd do when buying a bike.
Plus a change of fluids, fresh petrol, possibly add a fuel filter into the fuel line.

do nothing, just ride it. if its brand brand new it wont have ever had petrol or oil in it yet.

Excellent stuff. The only thing I'd consider is how old are the tyres? Other than that it's all new.
Every year the Suzuki sale is on previous model bikes 1-3 years old. They sell heaps to happy customers. Well, as happy as Suzuki owners can be .....:motu:

Yes, three year old, new tires were a concern. I had them removed and new ones fitted. Peace of mind.
