Pannier racks for an 08 KLR 650?

Hi all,
just got my '08KLR and keen to get setup with hard panniers, am thinking of going down the ammo-box / hermite tin route.

Just wondering if anyone knows of a NZ manufacturer or supplier of the racks? There are a few available overseas (Happy trials, KLR650.com, touratec etc) but they're all around the $300 -$400 US plus shipping which ends up around the $500NZ - $600NZ or higher (i.e. way too much for a few bits of bent steel).

Any advice gratefully received!

Make your own! These took about an hour, look like crap (but it is a KLR after all) but they can't be seen when the bags are mounted anyway. Strong enough to take a minor spill without bending but not so strong that the subframe bends instead.
