Well I got pulled over at a check point "half way down dominion road" this morning - checking licenses, WOF's and rego's

I girl was there from Auckland Transport giving out dayglo vests, so I asked her what is up with the picture and she said it was a new person in the office, and wanted to know where I saw the add - naturally I told it was on this forum ;)

Maybe we need to revisit the ACC stats that arose out of the ACC fiasco of 2 years ago, to know whether this highly visible 'group' are costing us ACC levys or not. While we were all pointing the finger at every other group or class of motorcyclist, we needed to concentrate on ourselves. I was under the impression since then that unclad scooterists were not weighing heavily on the ACC dollar, but questioning it makes me wonder how little I really learned, or oops, remember :eek5:, but they are always an easy target.

Saw a very similar flyer today, same 'free breakfast and giveaways' promotion from dorkland council plods, in Mission Bay (I think) around Thursday 22 Mar....but for "motorcyclists"
Will see if I can find a copy of it.

Don't think it had shorts n teeshirt wearing fags on a scooter. Think it was a Harley scene.
