Looking for a 250 cc bike!

Hiya! I am currently in the market looking for a good condition 250 cc bike. I've had a look at trademe but thought I'll also try posting here too. I'm ready to shell out around $5000 with a max of $6000. If anyone can recommend anything then I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :niceone:

$5000 cash will buy you a brand new bike
Look around and ask for deals with some dealers.
They dont want to be stuck with 2 -3 year old brand new bikes on the showroom floor.
Buy a second hand thrashed 250 for around 5000, yup
but pe prepared to fix stuff in the first 12mths.
Buy a new never used bike from a dealer for around 5000
12mths min trouble free riding with a warrentee on parts.

Not saying this as a recommendation, I recently bought a Keeway Supershadow, $4700 including on road costs.
It performs very well for a little cruiser, and the open road speed is 120kph +
At 74mpg economy, its also cheap as chips to run

My mates got a REAL tidy CBR250RR 1989 i think only about 20,000 ks youd get that for like 2900 or 3000
