Just like the first BBQ the second BBQ was a great hit.

I arrived at about 7.30 after spending a good 15mins looking like a dork stopping every block to take a gawk at the map (I'm getting more and more use to Westieville).

Just like last time the bikes lined Mitch's driveway and made an awesome sight, - did anybody take any photo's.

It was great to finally meet Antallica down from Whangarei - Ant, you must have been tired riding all that way on a 150?, but well worth it i'm sure no doubt.

Thanks to KK I managed to get tipsy off his Reds, which made an interesting experience when trying to get the bike into the garage!!

Had a yarn to SPman and Si, before later getting into a weird conversation with KK and Slim. For some reason the topic kept going back to KK's tyres and homosexuality, why? - Perhaps KK can explain that one!!

Crashed on the floor for the night and was escorted out of Westieville by KK.

Mitch thanks for your hospitality and making another excellent BBQ. Best of luck to you down in Welly! :)

Yeah man it was all worth it :D. Man all those bigger bikes made me feel inferior, but ahh well you gotta start somewhere.

Thanks Mitch for the opportunity to meet everyone, I left Slim & Greg snoozing away after I woke myself up with a cuppa & headed off. Great to have met you all, hope we have another bbq soon.

lol, sounded like it was a really fun BBQ. Too bad I missed it... I had to go and say good bye to a friend in a farewell party that night so I couldn't make it.

Sounds like a good time was had by all, I'm sorry I wasn't able to come... spare Saturday evenings are precious and hard to come by for me atm :disapint:

if Ant still has the FXR next time I'll try and make it along for some displacement-challenged moral support eh :Punk:

Sounds like a great time was had by all. I had to miss it unfortunately - a re-ordering of priorities on the domestic front was necessary in order to maintain peace and harmony and goodwill to womankind! Sigh!
But there's always next time...
There will be a next time I hope??

There sure will MikeL, It's just gunna take a little longer to get there, but then thats whats we live for.. right?

Wellingtons not that far!! Perhaps the Welly's on this site could ride out half way to meet us ??

Ah yes. That's the one. Peace and domestic harmony isn't very compatible with buggering off to BBQs with Bikers I Met On The Internet, right now :p

I left Slim & Greg snoozing away after I woke myself up with a cuppa & headed off.

*ahem* In seperate beds! :shit:

Thanks again to Mitch for her wonderful hospitality, and apologies to Ant for being so rude as to fall asleep again after suggesting the cuppa, and only being barely aware of your leaving some time later. :o

Good company, good food, good alcohol, great music and good weather all came together to make another pleasant evening. :)

It was lovely to meet Ant, Wari and Racey Rider (from New Plymouth!), and to become reacquainted with those all previously met. :)

I reckon a meetup at Taupo before the end of summer would be a great idea. It's not exactly the halfway point between Wellington & Auckland (I've been told that might actually be Waiouru) but it sounds like the easiest place to arrange things for. :)
