Dont bother. for several reasons, one, its a 250, any increases you get are going to be barely noticable.

secondly, even if you go and spend out on a decent can, getting a good quality one will cost you around $500+. But that isnt the only cost. If you are putting a can on it, it often requires that you get it rejetted and possibly requires a different air filter to get it all working together properly, those few things can take the total cost as far $1500.

The cost of your bike + $1500 would = a GT650, which will be learner legal very shortly anyway.

Any of the larger-chambered straight-through pipes are awesome on the 250 hyos. Screaming Demon etc. You won't get any more power out of it, but the sound is absolutely brilliant, and will transform your experience and others perception of your bike.

Don't be tempted to richen the fuel/air ratio. If you do, you will completely remove its' lovely crackle-pop-bang on overrun, and this is three quarters of its' appeal.

Do it!
