Check swingarm bolt, and engine mounts. Although some bikes just have a lot of vibes.

Make sure all the engine mount bolts are done up, had a similar problem with my old RM and they'd all come loose.

Problems at the back end is usally felt in your rear end, handlebar vibes often means front end issues. Unbalanced (buggered) tyre or (buggered) front suspension ... ???
Does your bike normally have bar-weights ???

Lift the bike of the ground on a stand, spin the front wheel and see if there's play in wheel bearings or a twisted front wheel eg out of round, check the play in the steering head bearings or any pinch points lock to lock.
Start it up place your hand on the engine does it move in the mounts, blip the throttle does it rock? if so your mounts are loose or worn out. excessive engine vibration can be a big end bearing coming apart. Also check your handlebars and mounts for cracks causing flex.

Mx bikes dont run bar weights and if you can tell the diff between an unbalanced front or rear on an mx bike you must be one hell of a rider never balanced an mx tyre yet or seen one that has been:brick::brick:

thanks for the help guysSteering head bearings are a dime a doz compared to what happens when they lock up without warning at any sort of speed I had it happen when I was learning to ride lucky It was on a beach with nice soft sand
Do them regardless

How many rear rim locks do people usually run? 2 opposed or just 1?
Front?
I've ridden alongside an MX bike on a gravel road at 100kph where the rear wheel was bouncing off the ground. 1 rim lock. You felt it through the bars. Pulled the rim lock and the bouncing and vibes went away.
A rim lock is what? 80g.
Would you put 80g of lead on a wheel and ride happily?
You can feel the vibes from the front rim lock on the TT350 from about 50kph.
If you've never balanced a dirt wheel, you don't know how smooth it can be.

Maybe but if you start putting weights on how long are they going to stay on in the mud and rocks etc and as soon as you start to tear nobs off etc it out again no point really.

Never had a crimp on spoke weight come off.
Even if you do start tearing knobs off, it's still going to be more in balance than without weights.
I think of them like handlebar vibration inserts or even steering dampers, you don't notice them when they're doing their job, only when they stop.
I don't think they'd improve your lap times but may help with reducing arm pump type vibes...
