Can anyone help?. My headlights don’t work either on high or low beam except when i press the pass (flash) switch.
I have been riding home with a zip tie round it but I have disconnected the hi-beam so im not blinding people at least .
Any ideas? I have checked all the fuses and connections and even got another switch block and installed it with the same results. So I don’t think it’s the wiring in the switch block. The only thing left is the light relay, which i can only get to by stripping the bike right down as it’s in behind the lights in the freaking nose cone.
And where could i get a new relay from cheap?
Thanks

Change the fuses if you havnt,
My old 250 done the exact same thing, and the fuses looked sweet, changed them anyway just encase and it fixed the issue.

My kawasaki had a diode in the loom up around the forks, somehow this got dislodge at one time and had the same effect that you are describing. Have you got a wiring diagram for your bike?

If the pass flasher works, but not the normal hi/lo circuit then could there be a problem in the right side on/off switch?
You need a wiring diagram and circuit tester.

check the secondry switch contacts in the start switch that control the lights (your model may be a relay connected to the start circuit) the start switch is set up turn the headlights off when the start switch is operated to supply full power to the starter motor. when this happens only the pass switch still works just like what your bike is doing. these fail quite often i have fixed lots of these, you will have to find a wiring diagram to work out if yours is a switch or a relay
