Good friend of mine had moved over to melbourne a while back. Was back over here visiting and said he's gettin a new place with an extra room. Thinkin i might try the move for a while for a change.
Just finished a year here in New Zealand and its been great and all. Just thinking of doing something different. Only thing is, id really hate to have to sell off my bikes and project. Ideally, id like to bring them over with me.
Has anyone shipped a bike to/from Australia before? Who did you use? Really dont want to end up spending more then the bikes are even worth. Theyre just 2 GB400's.

Expect to pay a small fortune!!!
You need to get an import clearance, shipping costs, recompliance in Aussie and registration plus any stamp duty, GST and Aussie government charges.
Plus if the bike is modified or does not fit in with current Australian design regulations ( STOCK Standard etc they can refuse it being able to be registered for Aussie roads)
I looked at it and from memory all up was near $3000 - 4000 NZD to do.
Mind you you can get a late model GSXR, ZX10 or R1 for about $9000 Aussie if this is a better option.
My harley to replace is around $25000 AUD, think i may ping it off and get something there much cheaper.

At least it didn't go on the Rena, unlike a friend's gear...
