I tried selling my FXR and upgrading to a 250. Didn't sell though. Some of you may have noticed a rattly sound coming from my bike on the taupo ride. Got that fixed. It was part of the baffles. I suppose I'll put a bit of money into properly servicing my FXR (4000km and 8000km services haven't been done) and hold onto it till it's time to buy a six hundy (or similar).

I noticed your FXR making a funny noise the whole trip - sounded like it was only running on one cylinder.... How much did you want for it?

Oh, and I better chuck in a tenner as well or people will cal me names.

HAHA! We have a funny guy. Was hoping to get $2200 for it. Had 2 offers for $1800.

Wanted to get a half decent 250 cause most of my riding now is on the motorway and I sit at around 10500rpm with a 12500 redline. It's pretty much the same on bigger rides like this.

Money Paid Armi!

on another note I also got a refund for my steering damper that was faulty after 5 months of not being replaced so bitterly disappointed about that although no fault of the NZ distributor. So I have now spent an additional $200 on top of $500 I initially spent to get a new steering damper as I was sick of waiting. Can't wait for it to arrive makes huge difference on the bike when on the track.

I would expect we would be on the road for the circuit sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 am on the Saturday, although Maha will have a better grip on that.

But with regular stops along the way, you could come straight through to Dargaville via Sh12 and catch up with us then.

We were at swbarnetts earlier...waitng for Blue Rider to turn up with her Chocolate making gear and skills.
But Stephen had already been busy in the Kitchen, and had made is version of..Hot X Buns!

Stephen went to get Blue Rider and they returned with the goods to make Chocolate Shortbread Tarts....
Now these babies were...a Shortbread base cup (made by Stephen) which was smeared on the inside with White Chocolate, apricots added then filled with Ganache and then white Chocolate dribbled over the top....:not:

We have an 18 speed Blazer bike here..dont know who's it is, its been here for years..
It needs new tyres (the current ones are perished) but if it will get you going...come take a look.
The chain is on it but....off it , if you know what I mean?
Needs a side stand also.

Which means there is a fairly strong possibility I may be able to join in on this ride (if there's space for me...?) even though I already counted myself out...

:)

Bloody helll. I turn my back for five minutes and you bloody kids.... Righty then - fasten your selt belts and remember what you said coz I carnt be arsed with all this quoting business.

Maha, due to some interesting application of the new Give Way rules, I too have experienced the numb nuts this week. Something along the lines of "Top of the tee goes before... no wait, gives way to... wait.... I'm at a stop sign in a van at a tee junction and... ah fuck it, the bike will go around me, I'll just go...." Shiiiiiiiiiit!!!! *crush*. I felt your pain. Then my pain. And now nothing at all.

Doogal, I knew you were the right man for the job. You and Jo were on your way to a slap for talking shit about me while I was out of the room, and then I sussed you were organising that orgy we discussed. Well played mate.

Jo. Spooning? Like you need to ask.... Bed booked (and a spare one all of your own for when you get tired later on).

Scotty - yes you are coming on this ride. Your bed is also booked and paid for (don't worry chaps, got a fourth one). We'll be riding up on Friday night after work and a beer at Club Chris & Danny (best not-a-bar bar in Auckland).

Everyone else - hi.

Righto, off to work for a change.

*edit* PS Having just recieved a worried phone call, I should mention that the van didn't hit me. Close, but nerves and bollocks the only damage. Sorry Scotty! But cheers for caring.

Hiya MAHA,

I'm keen again for the Saturday (21/4) part of the ride, If you'll have me after last time.

I haven't taken my bike over to Dargaville since I've had it, and I grew up there. Would suggest Blah Blah Blah for coffee on Sat in Dargaville.

Cheers

Hey,

Sorry just say this post (I've been slack and haven't been on KB for a while)

I can't make it as I play Football on Sundays and that'll be the start of the season, and by then I should have a job and leave might be an issue, depending on what I end up doing!

...Ash also has a lot of work on those weeks and unfortunately cannot manage to take the Friday off work!

Looks like we are out :( Maybe next time...

All good ..this might be the last before the crap weather sets in...but I want to back to the San Marino (Coopers Beach) later in the year and do a day ride out of there, but noto the cape..*Tick*

You would be surprised really. Once you get going it is all easy peasy. You just need to get out and ride a bit more. If I can ride all the way from here to New Plymouth in one day you can do Taupo to New Plymouth in one day easy as. Just think of the small steps is all. Break the trip up. Stop here the night both ways.
