Just find a big round about. Do it the cheating stupid looking way by sliding your knee forward as far as possible towards the front wheel.
You are going to need some cool Wiz Sparky sliders so your mates behind know you got it down!

I honestly admit that it was somewhat more than a "nice obsession" for me. I never attempted to get the knee down while on the road and I'll never attempt in the future: unless one is very skillful in riding, there are only 2-3 roads not too far from my town where getting the knee down is possible but in any case dangerous (Italian drivers are not the best friends of road code...). Instead, I had to try in the race track several times before it happened. I also admit that I was very frustrated before, but only until I realized how easy it is.
Of course I can't suggest anything about the best roads you can train on :(
cheers

I think you may find that the knee down thing is only there for a lean guide and not an indication of how fancy you are. Most people can get the knee down, it's just how far over you go when you put it down that makes you good or great.
Biggest trick is keeping the bike well upright most times after you have attempted the knee down.
Not something i recommend practising on the open road at any time really.:argh:

I have done it on Woodcocks rd before on the really twisty and really well sealed corners on my old GSX, since then haven't really found the need for it, if your aiming to get your knee down on the road you are going to fast for the road and that can be dicey. Roundabouts are damn good though, the ones in albany are perfect for it and mostly there is a lack of traffic.

None at all to myself amazingly enough considering the off happened in the sweeper at the start of the main straight at some 100km/hr+. I was somewhat pained that evening though...
The bike was pretty OK too - stanchions were a little out of whack and a few levers were bent but I still managed to ride it home after the meet.

Their you go, lack of grippiness, off camber = knee doon. Simple.
Personally I'm gonna do it on a bucket at a kart track. Should be easy at my height.

At my age, I'm more interested in keeping my knees UP. They're pretty screwed already - can't be having with dragging them along the road. Besides, I've never been a "knee out" rider anyway. Knees are what keep me from falling off in a corner.
