Well I enjoyed it so much last year I have already made arrangements for this year. Yee ha!

There was only 1 thing I didn't like and thats the pot-holed gravel drive from the gate to the road. Turning in is a piece of piss but turning out you gotta do a sharp right from gravel to tarseal that is cambered leaning away...bloody horrible. Oh yes and there is quite a 'lip' from the gravel to the seal...
I felt no shame in asking my man to take the CR out for me after I watched people "paddling' (ya know...both feet down on the ground) their bikes out and almost dropping them.

Left at 8. Strait across the paddock to the metal drive as some tents had gone. The last bit was deep mud but just put the tyre in a grove and took it slow. Mud all the way across the bridge. First shower about 30 km out of Taupo. Couple of heavy ones around Matamata that did not wash all the mud of my boots. Fine from Ohinewai back home. Was good to see those South Islanders and a few new faces to me.

Had a slight detour to make after setting up the tent on friday afternoon and best $1.20 I have spent in a long time I reckon .. and its not two wheels but real horse power :)
