Sidecar Have a Go Day 2012

The NZ Sidecar Racing Association's (NZSRA) 2012 Sidecar Have A Go Day is coming!

When: Saturday 5 May 2012 12.00 to 3.30pm (please note afternoon only)

Where: Taupo race circuit on the 'old’ track (track 3) – Centennial Drive, Taupo. Entrance just before the corner of Centennial Dr and Broadlands Rd. Only a few km out of town.

Cost: Only $10 per 3 laps. Have as many goes as you want.

Come along and be the passenger on a modern or classic sidecar !

Everybody is welcome. All ages. It's a great chance to give it a go. You might even want to get more involved.

I have always wanted to have a go swinging (on a sidecar:facepalm:). Years ago they used to have a win a wish type contest on telly. I told my wife if it ever came around again to nominate me for a go on a sidecar.

I'm totally keen to go to this. Trying to get a few mates together too. I did a few laps on the chair on the bright green (#20something) t120 with Adrien ? Even though he was only wobbling around it was pretty awesome. Totally different to racing the solo, just as exciting though.

And I got crazy muscle cramp in my forearms and calves from holding on and pushing with my feet.

I heard it dropped a cylinder when it picked up a foreign object in the venturi ( must have been running large carbs....)
