View Full Version : You have a bad attitude woman

Mom
16th March 2012, 18:39
Imortal words, and one of the last sentences my ex-husband said to me. I laughed back then and today I laughed again, not because I heard the words, but because the behaviour I met reminded me of the reason I was called out on my attitude all those years ago :innocent:

Men being overbearing twats make me laugh, say what you have to, but leave the standover, superior attitude at home. If I am not being confrontational, dont be a cock. Today I really earned my restraint patch for not actually laughing out loud (within hearing), and controlling my Cheshire Cat grin in the face of the reason I had a grin a mile wide.

I paid some speed tax on the way home tonight, you would have thought I did it to deliberately upset this plod judging by his attitude to me. His pursed lips and tut-tutting attitude, coupled with wide open eyes when he revealed how fast I was going :gob: His constant warning to stay in my vehicle (yes in the poxy car, my ankle has decided I cant wear my boots the last couple of days) and finally shoving a breath testing device into my face so fast, and without warning, I actually recoilled from it, gave me a few moments of mirth.

I did not see him :shit:

It was a totally fair cop and I have no problem with the ticket, I own my speed

I actually sped up if you please, to get past a car that I knew was going to crawl well under the limit all the way from there to home.

First thing I saw was this plod waving frantically to the car ahead of me to go faster! GO FASTER! Which he did I might add. I went to follow him thinking all hell was about to let loose...

When I got the "TREATMENT". He practically leapt out in front of me, pointing at me and then to the roadside! :gob: :gob: Doing these amazing arm rotations. Far out  So I let him know I was going to stop and not run :pinch:

"Any idea how fast you were going coming down the hill?"

"You were lucky I turned off the radar when you hit the 80kph sign"

Silence from me while thinking, you are only 50 odd metres past that and I am pretty sure we get an opportunity to slow down past the signs, and I was not going fast coming down the hill at all, must have been a bit over though

"100 kph" says me.

His eyes about popped open, they were so wide! He turned his hand held radar to my face and showed me the unbelieveable speed of 114kph

Ok, so I am done!

He does all his recordings and observations, goes to his car and prints me off a ticket. He returns and that is when he shoves this black thing in my face without warning, asking me to count to 10. I considered being a bit flippant and saying chance would be a slim thing at this hour of the night, but counted like the good gal I am, I had already worked out his sense of humour was faulty. He made no comment on the result, apart from shoving the display back in my face. "NO ALCOHOL".

So, I am about to become $80 poorer and earn 20 points on my license - deserved.

I dont thing Maha's people can help me in this instance, but they are tempted to make a comment about the attitude of this plod. Treat as you find would be my advice. This encounter with plod has done nothing for my opinion of local HP plod. I have a bad attitude

Still I am all happy. I have been saying the last few days I need to be carefull, as my throttle wrist is a bit out of practice. I may or may have not found myself in excess of the open road limit once on Millie since I started commuting again. I never expected to get pinged in the poxy car :pinch:

Happily married.

Anti cop?

Not at all, I have friends that are cops.

Not into handcuffs?

Not unless they are fluffy and associted with a bit of adult fun in the bedroom.

No, a fella I used to work with - mr McGarry is not and never has been a friend of mine - he was an arrogant cunt - and thats saying something coming from me:shit:

yup its a worry - he got puled over in Oamaru and breath tested. He had just driven from christchurch when he got pulled over. fucking scary thought, a battering ram that big with a drunkard behind the wheel. yep, fourth time in ten years or less.

he has been known to drink 6 cans of piss while driving from alex/cromwell to dunedin - his employers do fuckall about it even though they know damned well hes doing it. more than one conviction has been while he has been with this same company.

Id be surprised if he doesnt do time for this one. I hope he fucking does.

Up here in central, with Queenstown just round a few corners. All manner of idiots ... with little understanding of the language .... Let alone the road rules .... come daily to sample the view. Said plod can often display the short temper. And before anybody say they should always be polite to the "client" ... we should always be polite to them too. (it may save you a few $$$ too ...)

Could have been worse though I suppose.

I vividly recall a Christmas morning, my Mom, my children and a wonderful man I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

A photo had been taken weeks beforehand. Someone was naked, and was persuaded to have her picture taken because, it was all in silohette, you cant see a thing, honestly...

When I opened this present and saw what it was, I hesitated.

Mom asked me what he had given me...

My kids asked the same question...

Yes, you guessed it. I had opened an enlarged version of the original, framed and gift wrapped

Dont you talk about worse

this makes no sense... it does not.

a person using a motorised vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs legal or illegal is basically ready to kill. should be loss of lisence for a long long time and depending the location and circumstance charged as attempted murder / manslaughter.

i mean there should no difference between the vehicle, as it actually does not matter. but driving under the influence should warrant loss of license as obviously the person driving under the influence of something can't be bothered to care about the value of life....ergo....walk bitch

I went through that same spot a few months ago...was watching for the usual cop hideout, but decided to catch pass one last car because it seemed to be going to slow for my liking...abd if you get caught behind some slow before the tunnels, you are fucked until the next passing lane 10 K's away. On this occassion, I just got passed the car as the lanes run out, thats when I saw two cops standing outside thier cars at the entance of the tunnles...lucky for me, one was texting at the other was reading something....:sweatdrop

My brain stopped working halfway through the first post so I missed that. Legally, the speed limit is the speed limit and it changes where the signs are. So you have to slow down before the sign. There may be a bit of an exclusion zone for setting up enforcement like cameras and lasers but that's just to save any arguments. You can be pinged 50m inside a speed limit change, and that distance is no defence.

On the other hand, if you are in town and see a 100km/h sign ahead it is not a legal requirement to accelerate up to 100km/h by the time you reach the sign. DAMHIK.

Reminds me of a dream I had about 23 years back, it went like this... Was out on an evening ride with the missus on the back. Came off the Haywards onto the Hutt motorway, heading for Lower Hutt, riding a gsxr1100. It was pretty much a modded and prepped race bike, so no speedo, and unfortunately, no rev counter light. I saw a set of lights on the side of the motorway in the distance, guessed it was a cop, then tried to guess my bike speed as to not attract attention. 1st guess was right, 2nd guess? Not so. The flashing lights come on, and a cop walks right out onto the motorway, stands side on, then swings a leg around into a wide cowboy stance and with one hand on hip and the other in a heil hitler salute/stop position. While changing down the gear box, and pressing my ladies hand into my side, I could not help but admire his handlebar mustache that one could bungy jump from, and his snake eyes that were now squinting with the sudden zap of halogen in the face, clumsy me must have hit the pass light :innocent:. Off back up through the gear box, and then onto Avalon for a few insane night time two up laps of the tiny skating valodrome there on a F1 bike. Ahhh great times, erm, I mean great dreams. Sometimes I miss the good ole days and politically incorrect posts on KB. :sunny:

True that, he was actually funny, I really was struggling not to laugh. I am poking the borax at the way he was behaving not complaining about a ticket at all. In fact I am more than happy to pay a bit of speed tax. I have been pushing my luck in recent weeks, it seems I really have missed riding my bike and have been playing up a little bit. Could have been much, much worse if I had been on Millie. Time to settle down :innocent:
