Howdy,

Just testing the waters for interest for my DRZ400E.

Right now the bike is being repaired and not for sale, but am keen to discuss options with anyone interested in this bike.

The work being done is due to the Cam's seizing and warping the cylinder head.

The repairs I am having done will have the bike running sweet again with all new parts.

Parts that will be fitted to the bike (by a qualified mechanic) are:

New OEM cylinder head
Full Gasket set (Mostly will only use the top end gaskets, so the rest will be spare)
Spark plug
Oil & filter
New aftermarket Piston rings
New In & Ex valves
New Valve seals
New In & Ex Cams
New Pirelli dirt (Mid soft compound) tyres front and rear
New Grips
Clutch lever

This is over $2000 worth of parts and about $800+ in labour.

I may also replace the rear mudguard and the front light plastics and throw a decal (oem spec) kit at it, and have the seat recovered. Which are only cosmetic, so not really required as far as the performance of the DRZ goes. The speedo and cable are not on the bike, and given its nature as a dirt bike I won't be replacing these.

I would be looking at $3200, which based on the year and the good work that will be done to it, I think is a fair price.

What do you reckon?

Yeah, this is the "E" model not the "SM". It has a headlight and a small tail light (LED I think), but no indicators. If someone was keen to make it into a Road Legal Motard, this is possible and I am prepared to help with discounts on parts required (Road tyres, Trailtech digital instruments, indicators and mirrors etc), but I am selling it as a dirt bike.

 my bad DRZ400E is a 2003 not 2007. Pretty much exactly the same however.

You can either put the real price in the 1st post or...
Click Edit, then Advanced Edit becomes an option...you can change it there.
Thank me later..:innocent:
