Found this posted on another forum, but it seems the UK has stepped up their PC insanity once more with this little retarded beauty.

School policies banning "best friends" to "save the child the pain of splitting up from their best friend."

they'll be even more devastated if they haven't learned the lesson that people come and people go by the time their first divorce kicks off. Kids getting upset over anything is almost unheard of :shit:

Dumbest shit I ever heard.

Well heres something to trump it, picked up off the same forum was the below. (this might have just been them overhearing 1ZB banter rather than "news" tho?)

Did I hear on 1ZB this morning that England is looking or is banning the words Husband and Wife and was I imagining I heard also - Father and Mother

"Did I hear on 1ZB this morning that England is looking or is banning the words Husband and Wife and was I imagining I heard also - Father and Mother"

This has been gradually happening in NZ for years - particularly in maternity care. "Husband" and "Father" were dropped many years ago, to be replaced with "Partner". Later, "Partner" was also dropped in favour of "Birthing Companion". We mustn't offend the solo mums, y'know...

I was intrigued by two things. Firstly when I clicked on the 3rd link and read something to the effect of "parents say little Johnny needs that special friend. We are telling them they don't". Soooooo, again parents are being told that 'experts' are the best people to know what their kids do and don't need. Secondly, when I clicked on the link a second time to cut and paste that line (for purposes of accuracy) I got a NY Times log on page so I couldn't actually see the article again. Almost as weird as TPTB decreeing that they know what's best for your child - what would you know, you're only their parent.
