Hello, I hope this mail meets you well, however I am mailing in request to place and order from your site and which I want to know if it is possible for you to ship orders to the Ukraine . If shipment is possible to Ukraine, kindly get back to me and then I will send you a list of Items needed to be shipped including Delivery address. Also you will be referred to a shipper who handles my shipment, and once I receive the quote for the order and the shipment then I will commence on the payment with my master card. Kindly get back to me if this is acceptable . Best regards
It's a stolen credit card/shipping/goods rip off scam.

Yup, bad news. Trash it.
A woman on the box the other night was scammed to the tune of $42'000 IIR. She checked the validity of the purchase through her credit card processor, Paymark or some such & she physically went to the bank with the order details, credit card no etc. They both ok'ed it but she is still liable for the credit card purchase & she has no come back on the goods dispatched.

Bwahahahahahaha. I know people with more money than they know what to do with who have hotmail accounts. Really, are you serious? Are you that ignorant?
Imagine if people based their buying decision on your use of the English language.

As in one that comes from a company that has the funds to drop 30k in one go.

Do you also refuse to do business with people because you don't like what car they drive, or because the watch they wear doesn't appeal to you, or because their wedding ring has the wrong kind of rock on it?

30k? I thought you must be selling products in 300k plus market. And you might know your current client base, but there are a lot of people out there to whom 30k is chump change yet care little about where their email is stored. But it's your business and you're obviously happy with the way it runs, and most businesses that purchase from you will have a paid account. I just think that your first comment in here is incredibly naive.

Its a quick comment on a biker forum I think I might get over it.
But it worth knowing that those with the free email accounts are generally either the last to pay, argue about the bill or end up going to debt collectors.

If that's a pattern you've noticed, then you are no doubt wise to ignore those enquiries and do away with the inconvenience. It was just interesting to discover your rationale behind it.

Won't argue with your experience, but you might be missing out on quite a bit of business with that view, and business from people who would be very good clients where $30k is nothing if your gear is any good.

In business you learn to filter out the scammers. Emails from kylbtysuortxcdfz7jnoexz@gmail.com which simply say "I'm interested in buying your goods" can be safely ignored.

In his defense guys F-All cranes are sold through email. It would be pretty rare to see a guy with a hotmail account say:
"Hi, what account should deposit the funds in for that 200 ton Liebherr"
its more likely going to be for support.
But in saying that - recently I was on site, and needed to email something to a manufacturer - so did it through a gmail account to save me hooking up to the office RDP. After my technical email the client I was working for ordered a Hitachi crane/digger.
Would you have blocked my support email because I was using a free email service rather than my work one?

It depends, did you phone the guy first? if I knew it was coming i would put your email in, if not it would get bounced and I guess you would phone me up to check why.
I am more than happy to help people with technical questions but the odds of them coming back to buy something new (we don't deal second hand) is very slim indeed, maybe 1% if I'm lucky.
Looking through what was bounced today, 13 emails all either spam or trying to make contact to sell me stuff that I don't use, and I don't know what gets stopped by my provider, so I will keep with the status quo but thanks for all your concern.

When I'm doing business I filter out the scammers and other time wasters by the content of the email, not the email address. So far it's worked pretty damn well for me.

I would have to say that a freebie email address IS a factor when I assess the bona fides of an email query. But it is not the only factor nor one of the most important.
Put it this way - I have not had an obvious scam from a paid account - they have all been from freebie accounts.

Hi Larrry, unfortunately our store is unable to accept credit cards, however we do take cash and only charge a small commission to do so. All goods shipped will be well packaged for shipment to the UK.

Wyn

Well your penis won't get any longer then.
On a serious note - have had many scammers with @xtra.co.nz and @iinet.com.au accounts. Something to watchout for.
I generally don't filter anymore.
As mentioned earlier - Obvious scammer is obvious and I can clear the 200 or so I get a day in about 5 minutes.

They're not hard to pick eh. Anybody wanting me to send them 45 cases of Dom Perignon is probably on the make...
These days I don't usually check the email addy - just what they are asking for.

The guy who wanted me to ship 28 cases of Rockburn Pinot Noir to Japan wasn't either...fuck'im.
That was the first one - about 5 years ago. I went behind the scenes with that one and found that his shipping agent (supposedly in the UK) didn't exist. And his claim to be 'merikan sounded a little flakey too given that he was technically illiterate in Engrish...oh and he was using a free email addy as well.
