Mods - this is somewhat Caveat Emptor related, but I am putting it in rant & rave as it may be of huge benefit to some KB-ers

I wouldn't normally advertise anything on KB...but this is too good a deal that some people may wish to know about...

This deal is only available to Community Services Card holders and their landlords (if a rental situation). It is being carried out as part of an initiative to reduce respiratory illness through poor living environments.

A business that I am associated with has secured a large supply of excess stock from a leading, NZ based, polyester insulation manufacturer. They can supply and install polyester insulation in both the ceiling and underfloor of any rental property where the tenants hold a valid Community Services Card for only $699 incl GST regardless of the size of the house.

This is strictly a limited offer. One of the conditions of the agreement is that we are not allowed to publicly advertise the brand of insulation or this deal, it is by word of mouth only.

I know this deal sounds too good to be true (the materials alone usually costs nearly twice this price!), but I assure you it is all above board and done through the EECA programme. All installers are qualified and EECA approved.

Limited to the greater Auckland region as well as Hamilton, valid until stock is finished.

The tenant had to be a trustpower account holder for a year in that house,and have a community service card then the landlord got his house roof and underfloor done for $300 they didnt run it for long in bop its allready been stopped.

The deal is as mentioned, by advertise I mean through traditional marketing channels such as TV, radio, papers etc. Reason being, this deal competes with other companies that this manufacturer supplies, obviously not something that they want.

I suppose it depends on comparing apples with apples, if there is a difference. Fiber glass is a lot cheaper than polyester (not cheap Chinese import either...).

FYI - my association with this business is that the MD is a mate of mine, I am not a Director, Shareholder nor an employee, although at one stage I did work for them.

Yeah, I have heard a couple of energy companies offer pretty amazing deals to their account holders. Volume is usually very limited, but none-the-less, a very very good price.

Correct, done under CSC 60% scheme...but at an even further discounted rate thanks to the materials rate (about half usual CSC 60% rate - this I know as I was involved in EECA's CSC programme a couple of years ago).
