Well as per the last few years there'll be a few of us heading to the Parrot and Jigger for dinner on the Sat night. There are motels literally round the corner within walking distance from the PnJ.
Thought I would like to give the pub a bit more notice than a few hours this time so anyone who is keen can you respond to the post accordingly.
Cheers

On a kind of related topic, can someone suggest budget accommodation or camp ground close to the track. The budget is seriously sad, Im thinking YHA or similar.

6 beers is good 9 just detunes you a little to much I found. But spoz its pints so thats 4 right. Sleeping in your own bed should give you maybe 1 more pint credit. A good hearty meal should add one more credit. So thats 6.

Closest Holiday Park is http://www.harcourtholidaypark.co.nz/

feckin heck, in the old days we'd spend $20 at least at the Ohakea bar, that was a cheap night out & beers were a subsidised $1.70ea. Then we'd start on the vodkas. Fortunately we never started early the next day.

Warrick and family keen to come along for dinner.
Did anyone leave some sunglasses in our van at Te Puke? No idea who they belong to, unless they're the ones Craig left another time and we ended up giving them to captian_soup bwahaha

Oh, might be mine. I lost them at Tokoroa at my olds got them back when we stayed there for Te Puke and then I lost them again. Are they smallish in size with little rubber bits on the ear pieces?

Ellen here from Shel racing.
We are booked in at Harcourt Holiday Park. All the cheap cabins are gone so we have booked a pwered campsite, $40 per night for two and are bringing our poptop down. They have hot water and dont shut the gates at all.
I checked out the Kaitoke Regional park for camping. They only charge $5 per night, but theres no power and no hot water. They close the camp ground at dusk.
Put both our names in for dinner on Saturday night please. We will have a drink or two but you guys are NOT getting us to ride on hang overs on Sunday.

I'm hoping that 20 will cover you two as well. Will have a chat with everyone at the track on Sat morn. Can book more if need be. I just really didn't want to have 20 people just land on them on Easter Sat without warning. Could be waiting a veeeery long time for kai!

Cheers everyone for coming along. 50 meals went out the door, which is why it kinda took awhile. Was awesome to have everyone in one room, sorry that the kids were sat at the other table, just made it easier room-wise. Sorry to, too SHELRACING for stealing a whole tray of flat bread and returning it empty!!
Good to see no sign of bad hangovers on Sun! See ya'll next year! :apint:
