Hey All
The wife and I have just moved up to Auckland ( Howick) and so far Iam good at getting lost . Like having to pull over 5 times to get from Howick to Massey  all part of the fun aye. One was a truck tyre blowing in front of me does that count ? . Anyway rode the bike up from Palmy and loved it , so far i can get to work and thats bout it. Looking for someone to show me so fun road for after work /weekend rides . I am not fast ( can keep up with the motorway speeds no probs ) Never ridden In a group . Keen to go for a ride and not get lost for a change

Howdy.

We run a thing called SASS out south for beginner/returning riders. We do a group ride then a slow speed session. After that we normally head to the pub. Pop along, its fun. Link below,

Hi.

I'm out west, so roads I frequent (occasionally) are

scenic drive/piha/hendersonValley-Mountain etc which is good for hour/hour and half hoons.

or for a 2-4 hours this area is fun to explore in

ah, for full day rides, once you get used to distance riding its not a huge stretch to get up to mangawhai, waipu or even further for lunch and back down again. Maybe you are, IDK

I know my way around most of those areas, but only because I've got lost there so many times!
I'm free most of next week so I'll PM you bout that.

Mostly these depend on what type of riding you like, really intense twisties, a not so intense, or quite laid back.
Also I know there is some good areas SW of greater auckland, but I haven't been out there much.

Ah, I forgot to say, there is a ride on in may up north. 3 day affair. It's catered to learner riders but welcomes all abilities

If you ride a 250 you'll love ridge road in Pare, and old north road out west.
