So, there I am sitting down at the local caf waiting for my late. As usual, no bike mags, just the local Woman's day on the table. Me starts paging through the usual mindless crud, my coffee arrives and I nearly spit it out when I turn the page to an editorial on our very own pink ladies in side cars...

I hope the Late was fresher than the magazine, that was 3 weeks ago.

Yeah, I read that in the Doctor's office. The girls aren't just talented, they have fun and enjoy themselves too, not taking themselves too seriously. They are a breath of fresh air and really bring the class to life!

How's the unit? Are retiring it yet, or keeping it on for another season?

Definitely another few seasons in the package yet.
For an old 600 its still surprisingly competitive, but I think thats at least 3/4 riding talent.

Hmmm. You can be as fast as you like in a straight line, but going around corners is an art form! When you have a horsepower deficit it's all about cornering speed and balancing at the limits of traction, keeping the engine in its best power range.

The girls do that very well as evidenced by the fact that they do beat some thou's with somewhat more grunt.

Obviously, the mechanic and engine builder have a lot to do with the consistency and performance of an older motor, though. It's been solidly reliable for you guys and to see it has a lot of life left is great.

That may be its age but if you go to a Doctors in 3 years it will still be on top of the mag rack.
I was at Wgtn Hospital a while ago and read a mag that was from 2005 !!! The funny thing was that this dept was in a building less than 2 years old so all the old mags must come along with the staff lol.
