Ok we picked up a TT225 as a spare and something for my dad to come on a few easy rides with his grandsons, its not tidy but runs very well. I managed to get a very late ttr230 front end of tardeme fits staight up. So brand new tire on rim also twin pot caliper all for $150 swt, now we are going to need a new rear tire so looking at chaging rear rim also and will posibly go for a disk brake rear end. It is an 18" rim what bike can i rob one of that will fit in with a little mods any suggestions? i know that most mx's are 19"

Heaps of tyre choice for 18" wheels. MX bikes are 19", but enduro & trail bikes are 18".

Is the effort worth it for a disk rear? Pedal change, master-cylinder mounting, etc... I've found more feel with the drums I've used, and all the doings are tucked away from rocks & other nasties.

Ok so far its looking like straight swap but yes if its to much work i can just buy another drum brake rear rim. I do need to replace my rim as the bead lock has been ripped out and a dodgey weld repair done:facepalm:. Some reserch done and a WR wheel will bolt staight in with an early YZ250 caliper and foot pedal attachments so im led to believe ha heard that before too
