My Easter started bad and for a second or 2 today looked like getting really bad,a mate of mine asked me to give him and a few others a hand replacing his roof all good but as i suspected the few hours has turned in to a few days, flat roof/tin with that tar shite underneath, all good though today got a little windy and with 9m sheets it just begged for something to go wrong, when it did i ran at the sheet in question that we had just bought up scoring a direct hit but to my dismay the thing kept on going:woohoo::woohoo:straight off the end of the bloody house, result one fucked shoulder a huge sigh of relief and much nervous laughter from those on the roof:oi-grr:despite the shoulder i joined them laughing out of relief i think as just for a moment or to it was pretty scary.

Ya mean ya didn't surf it cooly to the ground. I'm bitterly disappointed. Glad you're alright though, sounds like it could have been a tad worse.

I'd stay indoors for a few days if I were you.

Mate reckons it was pretty cool for just a mili second i was standing on the fucking thing trying to eject:wacko:My Border collie Sam did the "fuck im outta here" but was first on the scene to see if everything was ok,no doubt more worried about who was going to give him his tucker later than anything else.

Long run roofing iron dealt to a good mate of mine - several years back. He was fitting it on HIS OWN -(fool),...and had his next sheet to fit leaning upright, bottom on the grass below and top leaning on the spouting....couldn't quite get it, so he shot down his ladder to adjust it and turned around to deal to something else behind him. As his back was turned, the sheet was caught by a wind gust and came earthwards in a big hurry - top end first...and met his right calf muscle on it's way down. Took off the entire muscle-- left it hanging by sinew. Stitched back now....but developed blood clots and other nasties to live with. Shudder.
