Got myself the cliche commuter/hack.
262034262035262036

It's one of those horrid little things, but more interesting than my stupid cage I just sold.
Cost? $665.
Power? Umm.
Cool factor? -94.
Gay factor? Priceless.

Pick this...thing up on Tuesday.

Place bets here:
Will he flip it?
Get sick of 22-supposed-hp?
Flip it twice?
Flip it three times?

I'm not sure a GN has berries to give...I think I'll snap the bloody throttle cable on this beast. Might be a lil' under whelming after the 600.

I would've got a DR250 instead
Could do this? 262038

Over the bars? Sweet, will give it a try, might actually need to have forward momentum for that though?

Geoff was the stupidest non-GN name that popped in to my head, GNs should all be called 'Cecil' or 'dick-mouth-swallow'. So Geoff was the logical choice...

Lowered bars
smaller indicators
throw away rev counter and go to single speedo only
underslung flat can with a few slash exits
move the pegs back massively, maybe to pillion peg location
cut the front guard front and rear
clean up all the shit on rear subframe, swingarm etc
replace rear cowl and seat, drawn in an MX guard and side number panels, custom high seat too

Won't be loud, I make mint exhausts (though getting a ginny to sound good will take some doing), just make it out of mild and vht it, be cheap as that way!

I'm currently looking at getting the cheapest, shittiest pile of crap as a commuter and my only conditions are:
Uber cheap, uber simple (I already have a bike that's fast and needs work ) and cheap to fix.
What it has to do; take me to Te Puke from the Mnawatu and I don't care if I do 90 the whole way...it'll be cheap

It has two header pipes, this is because 22hp is very hard to control.

I had a Chinker made one years ago, was the most uninspiring and sensible thing I have ever owned.
Full throttle is quite intense on these, nearly went up a fucking hill on a GN once...

I'm picking it up tomorrow, if I can put up with it for the 110km ride home I will give myself a high five.

Geoff is home now! His air filter was completely fucked, so Bogan and I (mainly my dodgy idea...) taped a bit of foam to the filter frame, good bye miss-fire.
Rides well for a GN and is actually comfier than my 04 model was. Every time I open the throttle it makes me giggle, becuase it makes noise and nothing happens.
The brakes feel like a cave man rubbing his dick on a vaseline smeared frogs back, in the rain, during monsoon season, under a very bright light. So, they don't work so well.

I like Geoff, he's cool.
He likes his younger sibling, they're getting on well.

Am about to to the valve clearances and pull the cam chain tensioner.
Then I'll do ze front brake.

Cleaned the old remnants of air filter out and gave the air box a wash out.
Oil change this afternoon too.

Took the beast to the servo this morning to pick up some fags, he goes rather well for a Ginny. On the way home was scooting at 110 without full throttle, impressive for one of these (must have been a fuckin' big tail wind)

Chrome shocks/forks/mud guards, headlight and tacho/speedo surrounds, bits of the frame are all very very shiny chrome.
