im currently riding a crf230 and im thinking of upgrading to a rm125 or crf250r but i am worried about the rebuild costs how much would it cost to rebuild those bikes im not to worried about labour as i get it done for 20 bucks an hour

A 2 stroke is usually a lot cheaper to rebuild than a 4 stroke. First of all you should make up your mind as to weather you want a 2 stroke or 4 stroke, and what kind of riding you plan on doing. An RM125 and CRF250R are 2 very different bikes after all.

Why are you only looking at the rebuild cost? You will rebuild it once a year. That cost spread over the year isn't much. If you look at the cost of extra oil and more gas in a 2 stroke that might end up costing more even if the rebuild is cheaper.

generally how much is it to get a 250F rebuilt these days?

i am gonna be using this bike for the odd mx fun day and trail rides, i really want a 4 stroke but i am worried about the cost, how much would it cost to do a top end?

About 350 for the parts off the net if you can do the work yourself. Working on RFS ain't too bad, especially if you can find a manual.
