Is that a halogen bulb? My low beam is useless at night, was thinking of going the same way with a halogen bulb. Are they not just find an equivilent power/size bulb to swap out? Do they need more power?

Check to make sure you can fit a 55/60w bulb without burning up the electrics. My JDM bike came with 35w bulbs but its rated up to 55/60w, apparently it says it somewhere on the headlight.
I just put in a philips +50% bulb, puts out 50% more light than a standard bulb of the same wattage.

Alittle power but way more heat , will have to do a bit more homework . but changing the wires will be the easy bit . my other way round it is to change the whole headlight to sealed beam lights .And that way i have to mod the cage the head lights sit .

Just follow Gremlin.
But im gunna start on runinng direct from the battery trick. Will go to Jaycar tomorrow. Get some big ass wires to go with it. Im probably going to ad an extra relay for when I get hot grips.
Check what voltage your getting at the headlight to.

H4 bulb is a diffrent base you would have to change the whole reflector which will be worth the effort.

the charging system will cope the wiring will not as per earier reply, relays and direct feed from the battery will fix this problem. Go looking for a set of early GSXR headlights to replace your standard reflectors these have H4 bulbs as standard.

yep they will work fine just a bit more work to mount them, as they are 3.5 inch you will be left with a gap round them to the edge of you front cowling. some thing creative to fill in the gap?

On my 1996 Hornet I have an 30/55 H4 I had REAL problems at night. I changed it to a NARVA 30/55 H4 +90 bulb .... Holy shit what a massive difference that made, it is not a yellow light anymore but a bright white with alot more range & clarity .
sus it out & see if they do it for your type .

Been doing some homework and a h4 will fit in the back of the light just have to file down some holes for them to sit it , and when a have the front clip off going to get rid of the "park" bulbs and place a led strip/car fog light just under the nose . RE: the gsxr lights if they are the same as my gsx lights it four screws per light into a frame ,then four more to mount the frame to the nose cone cant pull the the bike to bits till the weekend , need it in one piece for work , thats the plan for next weekend and see how and what will work :Punk:

The reflector set up of your current lights are not set up for a H4 bulb, they will not throw a good patten which will defeat what you are trying to achive (ie better lights) and will be a WOF fail if the patten is to far off.
