Thought I would take the opportunity to remind everyone that most bikes are way to loud.

As a guideline.... before a massive debate (thats right a mass-debate!) gets going on the limits and the rules and the angles and the distances and low cloud and humidity....

------------------------------------------------------

The best I would suggest is that if you can run your bike up and down a residential street without causing to much public trauma or aggravation you're probably about where you need to be. (on a Sunday morning at 11:15am subject to reasonable local conditions and excluding areas prone to church services, riots, gunship weapons discharge, days of national mourning etc)

------------------------------------------------------

This in particular relates to any of the North Island Series meetings I am involved in and any possible future use of the Roys Hill facility near Hastings (yet to be resolved)

Just to clarify my constant going on about this.... not really much has changed with this since our Taumarunui meeting this year. eh!!

It also makes it more pleasant to watch if the bikes are quiet.

The number of bikes on the track plays a part to the overall perception of the noise too, we have big grids...

The 4 stroke sound seems to travel for miles, so these are likely the ones for first attn. At least 3 at the last meeting were super offensive. There were probably more that needed attn but you couldn't notice after these ones.
