I urgently need to borrow 250cc motorcycle for the morning on 3rd of May (in 2days) for my licence test in Browns Bay NorthShore.
I know beggars can't be choosers but would prefer cruiser style bike with current WOF and REG.
the guy I was going to borrow had his bike tipped over and just told me (5 mins ago) that he would need to wait for parts .. till next week....
I will leave my pride and joy bike with copy of my current drivers licence, at your place for your peace of mind. (2004 suzuki vz800)
should there be any damage to the bike while in my possession, I will pay / repair (this goes without saying) vice versa..
Id pick it up the day before if possible so I get the feel of the bike if possible. And return as soon as the licence test is over,, with beers and ciggies, if you do either equivalent amount of cash :D
If theres no one, would anybody know where to hire one for a morning?
Please help a fellow biker out! :msn-wink:
reply, PM, or call /text on 021 489 032 Jesse
looking for a reliable family man /women whom I can trust. as I will be responsible.
Thanks

I hired a Hornet 250 from Colemans Suzuki a couple of years ago for this very purpose. Maybe give them a call in the morning so you have a plan B?
Lolol "barrow".
I take it by Browns Bay you mean the Northcross one on Andersons road?
Pretty easy course, you should have no dramas, they will take you past at least one school zone, and a couple of Stop signs. Get that right, and its pretty hard to fail.

I have a Honda CB250 which you can use. Not a cruiser but not a sport bike either. I did my tests on it and it has wof and rego.
It's located in Epsom at the moment at my girlfriends place, but can bring it to the shore (Northcote Point) if need be.

It seems like you are sorted now, but I can probably spare my VT250 for a day or two if needed. PM me if you are still looking. I am in Glenfield, so not too far away.

All else fails go to your local/usual bike shop, everybody has one they go to all the time for some eye candy to add to their wank bank and if you dont your just fucking weird.. anyways go in with a 24 pack of beer and ask to see the manager (Ideally you would want to be well known) and offer the box of piss if they will allow you to borrow their rental bike for an hour or so,

You dont happen to live along Sunset road do you? Ive seen a VT250 parked up outside a garage a few times.
If so, the loud bike your hear coming home in the evening is definitely not my fault :innocent:

It's not me, although it is pretty close to where I live. The loudest thing in my immediate area is the GT650. It works out well though, as my flatmate usually has the garage door open for me before I've even got to the driveway!

Let us know how the test goes for you. In theory, it should be roughly the same as your restricted test was (assuming this is the full you are doing) since they switched them around a couple months back.

Was the test pretty much identical to your restricted test, since they've swapped them around?

Ah, righto, I was just curious as to whether they'd done a straight swap of the content of the two tests or just the length of each - did you have to do the hazard identification section?
I'm sitting my full test next week and I'm just wondering if it'll be exactly the same as my restricted was, or if it'll be a bit of a hybrid.
Anyway, congrats again, now seems like a good time for you to go take a celebratory ride! :D

FAROUT. you were riding an 800 on your 6L, how did you manage to get away with that for so long. that would have been a $400 fine up until recently.
Congrats anyway,neat feeling ay.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
now riding your 800 on a 6R. oh well.

yup it was exactly same as my full car test. 1st section pootle around 50km zone with intersections with & without traffic lights, 2nd 3x hazard ID in intersection and 3rd part 80km zone.
based on what I gather, Im pretty sure it is straight swap for motorcycles (for now). good luck with yours :laugh:

I sat my full 2 weeks ago and it was a direct swap of the restricted test. I had the exact same streets. My brother sat his directly after me and was taken a slightly different route but both were around 15 mins.
