IOM TT - Best places to watch from?

Alrighty then, who's been to see this great spectacle before?

I'm finally breaking my IOM TT spectator virginity this year and I'm kind of going in a little blind at the moment.

Where are the best places to watch from? I know there are more than a few towns along the route that you can sit at the pub and watch the bikes do their thing, but I was hoping to get some good 'action' shots with my fancy pants camera so looking for ideas of where to go. Ideally I would have been there for practice week and got a chance to look around but as it has transpired I fly in on the Saturday of race week and fly out at the end of finals day so I won't really get a chance to make up my own mind about where to watch from until I'm there.

All credible suggestions welcomed!

I went in the early 90's and creg na baa was good, at the time the Norton rotarys were there and at that speed you can barely make out the bikes. Its a good buzz just being there. If you have transport you can drive/ride around to various spots. That was on a bus trip you picked up off the ferry.
Another year a mate and I took bikes and camped near Douglas, you can ride around the circuit at certain times and get an idea on best spots.
Bushy Best is a nice ale, enjoy. Stock up on IOM stuff like coins, notes, badges, patches....nice to look at when you are old...

Yeah 2nd the creg as a good spot plus you can walk along to Kate's cottage for a different spot.
Stella Maris was also a good spot but I'm sure you'll hook up with regular visitors who'll give you useful advice.

Cheers team, any recommendations are good at this stage. I've managed to find the 'official' list which will give me some idea but still hoping to hear any inside tips.

if you've got wheels there's a number of spots where you can watch for a while then relocazte to another spot.
you've got to see some bikes at full tit, part way down bray hill was one of my favourite spots, i watched one of the six lappers from keppel gate then strolled down to kates cottage and further down from there where they're flat out too. not sure about whether you're able to go onto private land these days though.
i'd fancied coming out of the gooseneck too.
theres a few races, theres time to get a few spots in over the week

...i got a pic of Dennis Ireland winning the Senior TT in '82, with one of those 110# cartridge film cameras...he was just coming onto Governors Bridge after coming off the mountain, just Bray Hill to go..dunno why i was there...grainy old photo...a treasure though...just go and get into the TT, the shots will happen...

There are literaly thousands of spots, you'll soon end up talking to people once on the Island. You'll formulate a plan in no time.

Oh yes, bring lots of socks! they'll be getting blown off left, right and center!! He he.

We watched from all sorts of places. There are some good spots in Ramsey, in particular the exit of the hairpin going up the hill. Interesting spot form which to watch the sidecars. Catch the tram to the top and watch from there as well. Ballaugh Bridge is good but crowded.
