The co-pilot and I celebrate 23yrs of marriage in a few hours. We've been shacked up for 25 and we continue to like each other and remain best mates.
My girl still:
Resets the trip meter when we fill up, checks the oil, lubes the chain, pays for the fuel occasionally, massages my neck and shoulders when we hit a 50 zone, sings when we go flat out, gets shitty if I don't take her for a ride, is invisible on the back, cleans my visor, takes amazing action photos while hanging off the bike like a sidecar swinger, bought me my Thunderbird, looks excellent in leather and does a hot Xena.
Janet is the one person on the planet I'll get rotten drunk with and say 'I love you maaaate'.

Oi ofcourse he's not my dad. If he was I would have my parts by now and wouldn't look half as good as I do.

Hey well done Dave. Can you just confirm that you're not Waylander's dad?
I'm more than happy to confirm it.
I've had to do that sort of thing on more than one occassion.
Not so long ago i faced a paternity suit from a woman claiming there could only be one father for this kid.
I was worried - he does resemble me in parts.

Thank you all - and yes Zed, that's kinda why i posted it - so often you hear blokes refer to 'the wife' and joke about it being like 'a sentence'. And women can be worse.
It all starts with respect.

Sounds like you got your life partner from the same factory as I did, we were a hot item in 1974 and and just as hot now (although I can't compete in the long-marriage stakes, C.B and I only got married in 2001).
Congratulations, great to hear another man is happy in his marriage, top stuff. :2thumbsup

Congrats Dave. I hope to get to meet you one day - feel like I know you from this site and from talking with Mark Corbitt who's one of my good mates.
Hamish and I hit 20 years of marriage in October, been together 21 years. We'll be in Melbourne at the MotoGP for our anniversary - I might have to buy my bikes some carbon fibre to celebrate!

Sarah and I have only been together for 7 years ( second time round for both of us ) but I still can't get over how lucky I am. Haven't been able to get her to marry me yet - slowly, slowly catchee monkee - talk about the runaway bride

Good luck! Me and my beloved had been together for five years and he still hadn't proposed so I waited until Leap Year in 2004 and proposed to him! I was a bit scared he'd say no, but he was pretty rapt and we set a date for March 5 this year - two days after my birthday and the birthdate of my late father. We've both said since that we didn't know why we waited so long, we had a fantastic wedding day and it's been great ever since. Long live happily married couples, I say!

Congratulations Dave and Janet. We celebrated 43yrs this week. It helps being married to a bike enthusiast. The missus bought my bike as a retirement present.. No regrets so far. Will see what the next 43 bring. (Incidentally, I've never remembered the anniversary and she's still here.Very forgiving)

That rocks.

Well done, and congrats Big Dave. Claire and I have got the big 25 years coming up in November, and met three years before that.
The good thing about all these messages is that you realise that there are other people out there who are obviously as happy with things (marriage, bikes etc), as you are.
Cheers mate!

Congratulations, Dave and Janet. :niceone:
Hmmmmmm....
The vifferbabe and I have been together since February, 1978, and married since September.... rRrRrrrrRR 1982? I dunno. I think that's right, so that will be 23 years.
Not likely to be many more, as I think she's finding living with me and our weird offspring too hard, and I'm just finding the first bit (living) too hard.

Congrats Dave and Janet, if she hasn't knifed you by now, it probably isn't going to happen  . As a matter of fact, Jennie and I celebrated 33 years of marraige on the same day as you. At the risk of Janet reading this and it costing you more money, we take turns to organise a secret "dirty weekend" away to celebrate. It was Jennie's turn this year and on Weds morning, we set off from Tokoroa heading north and I still didn't know where we were going. Arrive at Auckland airport and she presents the tickets for Norfolk Island - what a woman! Got back yesterday arvo after having had a wonderful time, thought the island was basically for senior citizens but it was great. The roads are best suited to trail bikes though! :ride:

I took my rubber doll back to the sex shop.
I said to the guy - 'It keeps going down on me.'
He gave me a refund and $100? - V Sorenti.

Wow!!! These stats are pretty great. I'm very impressed - and my faith in the male is somewhat restored. Now if I could only find one that has similar goals, ambitions, is hugely motivated, doesn't particularly want a family, likes bikes, appreciates science, loves good food and wine, looks like Johnny Depp and has a trust fund...I'd be set.
Seriously though, I'm really pleased for all those of you who are happy in your relationships (defined whichever way) and give a small frown of consternation and worry for those who aren't.
In all cases, take care of yourselves, and those around you.
Warm fuzzies (where's the smilie for that then huh?)
