Looking for the next place to go riding with my son. He's on a XR70. He's managed most of the yellows at the sandpit. Some deep sections are a bit of a mission to get through with the small wheels but we get there!

We are looking for a bit of a change of surface to mix things up and keep it interesting. What is Dome valley like for riding with kids?. Happy to circulate on a an easy MX track but don't want to get in any fast riders way. Is the Enduro loop ok for the little ones? Any other dads take their kids up there? Is there still a dedicated kids/mini track?

Thanks, can't make it this weekend but keen to try one of these events one day. Seen your videos of it, looks like fun.

Thundercross Valley or Kimmys Farm will be an option, both towards HUntly way, but with much more rain they will be gone for winter,

I know what you mean, there is nothing more pitifull looking than someone struggling in the sand! However there is a lot of good riding there and once he learns to abuse the throttle you will have trouble finding him.
I've not ridden Dome valley so can't comment but there are heaps of farm type rides on, look on Silver Bullet website for all the upcoming events, or as the others have said look out for the Mr Motorcycle events, they are very family oriented.

yep Thundercross would be a goodie for him - but as mentioned already once it rains its pretty skiddy and hard for a shrimp. Our kids always enjoy kimmies too - but theres not alot of riding there for them ( I dont let them on the enduro loop yet)
Have you tired him on some of the easier blues at woodhill? they are a whole different kettle of fish to the yellows and some of them are
really quite easy and great for building skills up. Ask one of the wardens which are best. I used to take my little guy around the convict on his 50 and that was well do-able, theres also some goodies over by the superbowl. But watch out not all blues are that easy peasy!

Thanks for that, we are keen to try some the blues, like you say we just need to suss the easy ones first. Not keen on any steep climbs or drop offs yet. We will try the convict next time we are there. Thanks.

I have ridden dome once christmas before last and found the trail loop quite steep and slippery. May be a mission for the young one but is ok if you can hold the gas on going up some of the hills.
